Located right on the Cheboygan River with a lovely view. Food was delicious and our server, Bella, was a sweetheart.

Had a delicious lunch outside today. I had the Biloxi Sandwich and hubby had the 15ct shrimp baskets. Good sized portions and the food was tasty. Service was good and overall a great meal!

Fish dinner was very good. Wife's dinner was a terrible rip off. Three shrimp & noodles were $27 & paid extra for more sauce since noodles were dry on a prior visit. Prior visit that same dish had five shrimp. We will go elsewhere next time.

My husband said it was one of the best burgers he’s had! A couple of us got the fish and chips and I would definitely order it again. Their fried cheese curds were good. We sat outside with the view of the water and the marina and it was so enjoyable.

So we went to the restaurant by boat, first off there is only 3 spots for restaurants customers to park on the water boat. Second, our waiter was kind of rude. When you are seated they already have cups of water on the table and when our waiter asked what I wanted to drink and I said “just water” he was slightly rude and was like “You already have water right there.” I wasnt that I was asking for water it was just that I was telling him I was just good with my water. After that we waited over an hour to get our food and the restaurant wasnt very busy either. I got the Redhook Shrimp basket, that was good but my frys were hard as a rock and cold. Either than that the restaurant was good but I don’t know if I would go again.

Our first encounter with the service was with the rude hostess who told us there was no room for us to eat there. She didn’t offer to put us on a waitlist, have a drink at the bar, just acted so inconvenienced that we had walked in the restaurant and so we started to leave. Then my brother went up to her and found out we could put our names on the waitlist. Little did we know the other people we were expecting with us had already made a rezo under the name I asked the hostess about! She had turned us away! After we finally get seated, the hostess comes to our table, not for an apology, but tried to justify her rude behavior. We were appalled.
The waitress was a little better, but did not have a welcoming attitude and chose to blame her mistake on me (I asked for French dressing and she brought ranch, and she said that I asked for ranch which I did not… whatever. They sound similar. But I said French.)
The only nice person there was the bartender working that night.
Completely unacceptable service from the moment we walked in. Based on other reviews, a lot of people have encountered similar issues. Would never come here again. If I were you, save your money and go somewhere else!

The food here may be slightly above average, but the service is far below par. The seating hostess greeted us with attitude, then tried to justify her behavior—only making things worse. The manager, standing right there, ignored the entire exchange and offered no apology.
Our waitress was inattentive and so soft-spoken it felt like she was whispering our dining experience into oblivion. Simple questions went unanswered, and ordering became a chore. Good food means little when the staff makes you feel like an inconvenience rather than a guest.

Food was delicious and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server, Andrea, needs some serious improvement. She looked genuinely annoyed that we had our kids with us, did not refill our drinks ONE time, nor could she be bothered to clear extra plates. She did not check in with our table one time besides to take our orders… It was amazing, but in a not great way.
While I was looking around, I noticed that all of the other servers were staying very on top of things, refilling drinks, clearing extra dishes, and being friendly with customers. Seems like we got unlucky.
This is a good place to eat in Cheboygan, but if you get seated with Andrea, I’d ask for someone else.

The food was excellent (a small Meyer-Lemon Parm salad and a Basil Chicken sandwich with kettle chips). This would be a 5 star review if the service was better. I arrived on a Friday for lunch at 1:19. It wasn’t very busy. After sitting there hungry waiting for my salad to come I finally saw my server (Molly) and asked if I could get my salad because I was really hungry. She said, “if you wanted it first, you should’ve told me.” (Wow! That’s not how I spoke to customers when I worked at restaurants. And she could’ve asked if I wanted it first, if it’s done differently here). She came back with my salad AND my hot food. I said, “oh, both at once? It would’ve been nice to get the salad first when I was sitting here for 30 minutes.” (Now my hot food gets cold while I eat my salad). She never came back to ask how my food was. When I was done eating, she stopped by and asked if I wanted to order anything else and finally noticed my drink was empty and asked if I wanted more? I said I did. I still tipped her but my heart wasn’t into it. I think some customer service training is needed. Also the high top chair was really uncomfortable (doesn’t have a normal back like the other shorter chairs did) so it made the wait worse. I’ve come here before when traveling up here and looked forward to coming here today. Don’t plan to come back.

Terrible. We came here when in town for a wedding and took our whole family. Not one of our 7 person party ate their entire meal, including the kids. There were issues from
The second we walked into the restaurant. They had some baby shower event occurring so maybe they had issues with the balancing. We didn’t get drinks until we got our food and I even asked the food runner for our drinks who replied “I’m not your server I’m just helping her” we paid over $150 for a waste of a meal.

The hostess on August 2nd, 2025 at 5 PM was extremely rude when we walked into this establishment. We weren't even greeted with a hello, just a dirty look immediately as we walked into the restaurant. We asked how long a wait time would be, and were essentially ignored. Instead of kindly suggesting a reservation next time, she met us with a turned up nose and rude comment. I will be sure to not recommend Pier M33 to anyone visiting this area. I suggest management fix this issue as we have never been met with such disrespect. We came to Mulligans instead and the hostess was night and day in comparison.

Awesome.
After traveling all day it is always nice to have a restaurant so close to a campground , so I over look most flaws but this time a good oh koa pizza would have been just as nice and cheaper. The only vegetarian option was a pretty good mushroom pasta but the service was so poor it was hard to enjoy it. I was never acknowledged or asked what I would like , I was invisible to every server , when I asked for something, they had a look of surprise to them, I did try to order dessert but it never came, if my husband had ordered it , I bet it would of, go a little into town and enjoy a great meal and service at the Queens Head
