Cleary's is exactly what I want it to be - consistently good food, friendly staff, comfy atmosphere, the Midwest bar that makes you feel at home.
Don't sleep on the shepherd's pie or fish and chips. Great sot for kids. If you have a party bigger than 4 best to call ahead just in case.

The Shepard's pie is so good it should be illegal. Pro tip: order a hot cider with a bourbon shot. We also got potato skins as an appetizer bc why not double down on potatoes. They were deliciously loaded with toppings. Our server/bartender Olivia was delightful. We're not from the area but we come back every time we come to Chelsea.

Decent place most of the time, but sometimes there are some very aggressive and ageist older people harassing younger customers
Our waitress Shannon was very attentive, great service, the food was great, our group of 5 had roasted brussel sprouts, potato skins, and then each of us had amazing entrees and cocktails, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the prices are very reasonable, highly recommend giving them a try when in Chelsea, we make the trip from Livonia to go there! Love the shepherds pie and the Irish bangers, also the Cleary burgers.
