Great food and terrific service.
Everything is good here but the country fried chicken is a must. Just the best
Damn good food. Service was outstanding
Pulled pork and ribs were great. The chicken and the brisket was extremely dry needed lots of sauce.
My wife and I enjoy our visits . Service is very nice. It is absolutely imperative for me. Of the three, great service is number one.
We, of course, will visit again.
I was the only person seated at the bar. So no big rush, no confusion. Specifically asked the server BEFORE I ordered, if the large combination plate could be split in half IN THE KITCHEN, packaging half to go and serving the other half to me. The server said sure, fine! What parts do you want? I said I want half of everything.
Instead of doing what I was told they could do, I was brought the whole plate and not told that it was the whole plate. I've never had this dish before so I just thought wow this is big servings you get a lot for your money!
A few minutes later I received a to-go box (I hadn't asked for one yet). No problem I thought, I'm not going to eat this much food anyway, even if it's only half.
Got my bill, paid in cash, left 20% tip, ask server oh where's the rest of my food?
He said he brought all of it! Was I just supposed to know when he brought me the to-go box that I had all the food? If all I wanted to do was pack half of it in a to-go box MYSELF, I wouldn't have bothered having any kind of conversation with the server other than to simply order the food.
Server offered an apology and free food to compensate, but I don't want free food ( it's not that good). I want people to listen and respond to the words I actually speak to them. If you didn't understand what I wanted or if it could not be done server should have stated as much.
I wanted the food packaged in the kitchen as I was going to the Purple Rose Theater after eating, and I felt it would be better if it is packaged while sitting in the car.
I came here once years ago when the place first opened, found the food mediocre, and never went back until today. Food is still mediocre and the drinks are weak. I don't feel any need to come back here.
Ate lunch here mid week. The wife had a chicken sandwich which she said was good. I had the burnt ends, decent although I like mine done a little more, they were very tender. We had an appetizer which was a cream cheese with onion and came with house-made chips. It was excellent. We spoke to either a manager or employee who said it only had 4 ingredients in it, but would not share what the other 2 were. None of the sauces grabbed my attention. The price wasn't bad and service was quick. Its downtown Chelsea so street parking. We had to walk a few blocks down the street to get there.
I’ll start here we live over an hour away came in to celebrate a friends marriage. The waitress kept bringing the wrong drinks before it was finished at the bar and the wrong beer to my husband (which was fine we get mistakes happen) . However the experience got worse from there the pulled pork was extremely dry along with the ribs ! The “hot” sauce at the table was not even close to being any spice . Most of our meals had no flavor whatsoever ! Then to top off the evening the manager (bald man) was helping bring our food and my bigger friend ordered three different meals to try because who knows if we’d be back due to the commute , as he dropped off the food he said “now that I see your size it makes sense , I oughta ride you around saying hi to customers” my friend laughed it off , it highly upset the rest of us and later to find out him as well ! Very uncalled for , won’t be a place we visit again !
We’ve been a couple of times. Mostly recently on New Years Eve. The food was very good although served lukewarm and the cornbread was stale. For the price charged, food should be piping hot. The drinks were the most superior thing of the meal.
I had the brisket with mac and cheese. The service was good, and the food was brought to our table quickly.

Extremely small portions, with big prices.
BBQ pork had a hint of smoked flavor. We came for Sweetest Day, and it was disappointing. The pecan pie was more a pecan sliver.

It may be me, but I did not care for the BBQ that I had. I got the enthusiast platter. A little of everything. The sauces were not in my wheelhouse. My companions seemed to enjoy theirs. So give it a try and see where you stand
