After not getting any service at Olga’s across the street, me and family ate at Applebees and they gave me a 12 oz beer! That was a crazy turn for us tonight.

We had the worst experience at the Chesterfield Michigan Applebees location on 02/15/2025.

First: asked our waitress if apps and some drinks were discounted for happy hour and she checked her watch and told us yes. Because of that we ordered two apps and a white peach sangria.

Second: drink was made wrong and had to be remade but not before making me try the wrong drink first to see if I liked the mess up better than what I had ordered.
We also had no silverware given to us after our apps were brought out and had been partially eaten.

Third: I asked for my nachos to come without cilantro and jalapeños. They came with cilantro and jalapeños. Cilantro gives me horrible stomach pain.

Fourth: our food was cold and tasted awful. My sister took one bite of the tex shrimp bowl and left the rest there for the garbage, the taste was overwhelmingly spicy and the shrimp did not look cooked all the way and were grey.

Fifth: we get our receipt and it shows full price for the drink and apps. I ask our waitress to please adjust it and she come back with “sorry, we actually aren’t at happy hours tonight so they are full price. I’ll check you out whenever you’re ready”
Now I’ve been forced to spend $80 when that was not at all what I had anticipated spending. On top of that we NEVER would have bought the apps and drink had we not been told they were on happy hour and discounted.
I’m disgusted with our service today. No one asked about our wasted food and manager came to speak with us to ask how our meal was until the bill had already been paid. I could have spent $80 somewhere with much better food and service, absolutely sick to my stomach about this.
I’ve sent this same statement to the form on the Applebees website as well.

I had an excellent experience at Applebee's thanks to Kayla, our bartender and waitress. She was super friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The drinks were perfect, and she made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Kayla's service truly made our night special. Highly recommend asking for her if you visit!

kayla s is such a good server and definitely made my experience of dining out here a 10/10 her customer service is amazing and she was super sweet and easy to have a conversation with made sure we had everything we needed ! i will be coming here again
