We had the buffet brunch. It was wonderful. I’m not huge on breakfast, but they had salads, five soups, toast and desserts. My husband loved the breakfast selections, biscuits and gravy, etc! Ruth was attentive and patient. She was a wonderful server!
In a fit of nostalgia we decided to eat at Big Boy in Clare. Service was very good. Not quick at first but much better as the meal went on. Attentive waiter. The food was so-so. The Slim Jim was kind of tiny and sad. The roll was not toasted. Cheese was not melted. Sauce was bland, more like mayo. Not the tangy tarter sauce of old. Onion Rings were bland. Not crispy crust with a sweet onion inside. Maybe it's time has come and gone.
I hadn't been to a bobs big boy in years and I was so excited to be in Michigan and be able to try it again. I will say that this location is rough. Service is a little rough. There were flies inside that got annoying after a while.
