Very clean , mashed potatoes had unmixed globs of instant potato flakes , wings were amazing, rolls and butter are great . Plenty of choices.

Horrible customer service, extremely rude. My waitress did great and kept up on our large party. The cashier and another gentleman (assuming it was a manager) were very rude, unprofessional and snippy from the moment I walked up to the counter. Extremely unorganized when dealing with reservations or bigger party's, had many problems with them getting things figured out with my bill which then also caused even more problems later on in the night. My MIL had ordered a steak while everyone else had ordered the buffet, they did not tell anyone of us that they wouldn't have the steak prepared and brought it out to her while everyone else was eating at the buffet until the bill was paid. She did not receive her meal until after everyone else had eaten and we were getting ready to pay the bill. When we learned this, she had them make it to go since everyone else was ready to leave, and she was obviously pissed off (as I was also). When she got home to finally eat her steak meal, she discovered that it was mostly fat and gristle. There was hardly any actual meat to it, not worth $26.
The food at the buffet was extremely cold and not very good. Again, they have zero customer service skills, they were very unpleasant and unprofessional to deal with. If they can't properly serve larger parties or reservations then they need to not take them since it was hectic and confusing the entire time. The cashier was very rude to me and acted as if we were an inconvenience for being there. She had even made a comment to me about it being busy already and that our big reservation was taking up space and creating even more work for them. They told us to start getting seated before other people started taking our reserved table, mind you we got there 15 minutes early. They acted as if they didn't want our business and they certainly won't be getting it after last night. We made the reservation to have a family dinner for my daughter's 5th birthday. Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant by far and there will be calls made to their superiors to notify them of the ridiculous events that took place. I am still in disbelief that they made the comments they did, were extremely rude, unorganized and unprofessional, and couldn't even tell us simple things such as the steak not being made until the bill is paid. The guy walked off and never came back to tell me that I was good to pay like he said he would. I do not recommend eating there for any reason, especially not for any type of reservation.

Oh my word, am I ever FULL!! My Daughter took me here and I left with big containers of food. Their meat loaf is absolutely delicious!! And so is their specialty breads. They have SO MANY CHOICES, but they are SOOOO GOOD!! I enjoyed it, ate slow and it was delicious!!

Ive been to many Ponderosa restaurants in my 50+ yrs of life & this one was at the top 3... We will pick this one everytime we drive through Clare!!! Also enjoyed watching the Amish drive down the road in thier buggies ?

Had ribeye steak and baked potato. I would have liked some kind of veggie to go with it. The steak was a little under cooked but was otherwise very good. Service was friendly but slightly lacking. They kept walking away as we were talking to them as if in a rush. Overall satisfied ?

The buffet and the service were both spot on, but the 10oz. sirloin was probably the cheapest cut of beef I've ever eaten. It was cooked as I ordered, but it was just a cheap cut of meat. I should have went with the ribeye.
