I haven’t personally dined in at Fifth Tavern yet, but my mom brought me home a slice of carrot cake after celebrating her birthday there, and I wanted to share a quick note on that alone.
The carrot cake was very sweet — almost beyond sweet — but still really yummy and enjoyable. I wouldn’t say it’s the best carrot cake I’ve ever had, but it was definitely delicious and satisfying. What really stood out was the portion size: I had about half of what was served to her and her boyfriend, and it was more than enough. Generous portions for sure.
Based on the dessert alone, I can say they don’t skimp, and I’d be open to trying the restaurant myself in the future.

We had a reservation and didn't get a table until about 50 minutes after. Rather than being honest and saying they were overbooked, she kept saying “we're just clearing your table” or “it'll be just five minutes.” If it's homecoming, you shouldn't be taking walk-ins.
Generally the food was good except the flatbread, which had too much cheese. Both the cuban sandwich and the salad were very good. The server did a nice job of taking care of us. It was very noisy making it hard to have a conversation.

Love this restaurant and the food is excellent! Giving only four stars because of the change to the zip sauce recipe. What were they thinking? Please bring back the original Zip Sauce! The revamped “Zip” sauce is just lard.

We came here for a rehearsal dinner and we were in a private room. I was surprised that everything was on point, even with the restaurant being so busy . The food was delicious. Myra and Ashley were our waitresses and they were on top of everything . They even helped set up . We definitely will be coming back 😀
