Ordered a veggie and it was spicy with sausage. Not a pleasant taste, pitched it. Chicken strips were good.

Gave our order to someone else. Waited there for 15 minutes before anyone realized it. It wasn't very busy then.
Very slow, always a lobby full of waiting customers. Extremely unorganized and unprofessional staff. Uniform doesn't seem to matter, just wearing a cottage inn shirt with random pants and hoodies on. If you plan to order just arrive 20 minutes late and it might be ready.

This is the second time ordering a Carryout Pizza From The Cottage Inn Pizza Shop in Clarkston. The service was fast and friendly, and they had my pizza ready in about 15 minutes for pickup.
I ordered a medium sized deep dish pizza with a number of toppings. The pizza looked great and had good presentation. My complaint is that the crust tasted like cardboard, it was dry and had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The restaurant needs to take a second look at their recipe for crust, and also look at their process for developing that crust into a pizza that has flavor. I have ordered deep dish pizza from other local shops there are 10 times better. A deep dish pizza crust should be crunchy on the bottom, and soft in the center and have some decent flavor. This Cottage deep dish pizza did not come close, as I mentioned it was dry and flavorless.
The toppings were fresh and tasted good, my complaint is about the crust in this restaurant needs to do something about it.

Ordered two pizzas for pickup on Sunday for the Lions game which we won't talk about. However the pizzas were outstanding. My kids were here and everybody was raving it about how delicious they were. Excellent crust sauce is delicious cheese perfect and baked to perfection! Cottage Inn is now my go-to pizza place!!!

Got a traditional veggie pizza & inn stix for our first time from this location last night. Growing up, we loved cottage inn! Our food last night seemed like it was barely cooked, we ate one inn stix in the parking lot then took the rest home to put it in the oven. I specifically typed in the notes to cook the food well done & it was still doughy. The inn stix seemed to barely be cooked & then were smothered in the garlic sauce which made them soggy. The ingredients on the pizza were good but were basically raw & still really crunchy. When my husband went inside to pick up our food he said it was chaos. The other customers all looked unhappy. I know that this is a fairly new location, hopefully they’ll get their stuff together but to be honest I’m apprehensive about giving them another chance.

Ordered a traditional veggie pizza and a spinach Alfredo pizza and cran/walnut salad. Pizzas were very doughy, red sauce and Alfredo sauce on the other were spread very thin (could not even taste them). Lots of cheese though and only like one spinach leaf per piece. The salad was pretty but onions were big hunks and walnuts were not even chopped, but tasted fresh! I thought it was a more gourmet pizza I was looking for a nice rich pizza sauce and not a Ken’s dressing pack for salad ( barely any sauce) it was mostly cheese and dough, may have been too thick that the dough didn’t cook all the way or so much cheese on the dough. Anyhow it’s good if it’s your style. Just not my style. Not worth $50 to me.

I called Cottage Inn on Friday at 7:30 PM hoping to grab a quick dinner, but the experience was honestly frustrating. I was told a 45-minute wait for pickup, and when I asked about delivery, the person on the phone said, “uhhhh maybe longer… like an hour.” Not exactly confidence-inspiring or professional.
Before settling for that , I called Papa Romano’s Pizza & Mr. Pita right across the street—15 minutes for pickup, no hesitation. The staff there was friendly, professional, and actually seemed to care about helping customers. Their pizza came out fresh, crispy, and absolutely delicious. I couldn’t even take a picture because my family finished it so fast.
If you want great food and great service, skip the long waits and uncertainty at Cottage Inn and just go across the street to Papa Romano’s. They clearly know how to take care of their customers

Seems like the franchise owners are so preoccupied trying to run a restaurant, they seem to be doing more harm than good. Running back and forth, moving orders around on the rack. Literally saw my order on the rack. 3 people looked at it and moved it each time. Waited 20 mins when it was ready in under 10 minutes of me being there. Good pizza and all but completely unorganized and the organization issues look on the face of it anyway seems to be caused by the owners unnecessary micromanaging.
