I was flying solo this weekend and wanted a nice dinner and experience! Kruse's Deer Lake Inn did not disappoint. I chose from the Flavors of Fall on the menu (pick two) đ The stuffed shrimp was prepared perfectly (tender), and the baked shrimp and scallops were delicious. The pilaf pleasantly surprised me and was very good (pilaf is something I would have never ordered but it was the side for the pick two). I also had a Martha's Vineyard salad add tomatoes (not pictured)! I look forward to stopping in again soon!
We bought beef kabobs for a party and they were not edible. It was so full of grizzle that they couldn't be cut or chewed. I noticed a few people spitting into their napkin. Not good.

The service was excellent. The food was great. I was surprised at how many families were dining there. Even though the restaurant was packed, we didn't have to wait for a seat. The parking lots were filled to capacity.

Took 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, seen our server once, my fish tacos were really good, but the wife's salad was drowned in dressing, they did take off the bill.

Scallops were smaller than a penny! The shrimp were tiny too. Lacked salt. Menu prices donât match portion sizes. Iâd be willing to pay more for good food. I liked it better when the servers dressed up more and acted more professional. I donât appreciate servers yelling across the restaurant to other servers during my family dinner. It was like weâre at a hole in the wall bar. The âmanagerâ was wearing a T-shirt and ripped jeans with heydudes and was loud and obnoxious. This place has so much potential but the food is probably from some local distributor and doesnât stand out at all. The atmosphere, quality and service has really gone downhill quickly.

I really enjoyed my time here! The atmosphere was wonderful â warm, inviting, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. The food was absolutely delicious, with decent portions for the price. I highly recommend stopping in and giving this place a try.

This was just Monday, Sept. 29th 2025. Zero stars. If I could go lower I would. So we were seated outside, then the wait began. No one came to our table after we were seated, five minutes go by. Then another couple was seated about four tables from us, after the hostess left them a waitress was waiting on them right away. We waited for a while, still had faith. Waitress brought out their drinks and bread and took their food order, did not even look our way. So then I go in and talk to the manager, now he was then going to take over our table to make sure we were waited on properly. He then brought the wrong wine order, left us bread without any silverware (pretty hard to spread butter on the bread). Then spilled cheese sauce all over my dates white pants. Trying not to make it any worse than it was, I didn't blow up. Then he proceeded to comp us one glass of wine and one drink order, for our trouble (really?). Worst experience ever, will never be back. So sad.

My husband and I came in today for a date night. My husband made the reservation. We were seated right away. Scott took our drink order. Everyone was super friendly and nice. Made us feel very welcome. My husband had the pumpkin patch pick me up cocktail. It was very creamy and delicious. I ordered the chicken fettuccine Casanova and my husband ordered the Maryland chicken. The food was amazing. Everything was so creamy and delicious. I ordered the crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e. It was amazing as well. Iâm not sure if the other person that was serving us was the owner or the bartender but he made our visit very memorable. He said he worked with his wife there but didnât have a name tag and canât recall if he said heâs name. He was very nice, we enjoyed talking to him. So thank you. Overall, we had an amazing time. We will be coming back.
