We LOVE Deer Lake Inn! Fantastic perch, excellent wine, fabulous service, great location. Mondays and Tuesdays are best, as they are BUSY by the end of the week. Truly one of our favorites!

Never disappoints. We love the food, staff and atmosphere. Crab cakes are wonderful, some of the best you'll have. Wife's fish was light, flakey and flavorful. My filet was cooked perfect and a great flavor. Just wish they offered online reservations.

Server said hello once and then disappeared. Two other tables sat later and placed orders before we saw her again. Probably a good place and other servers were active. Is what it is, we asked to pay for our drinks and left for more attentive service. Too expensive to settle.

The menu is diverse and changes over time. Five of us dined there and everyone was very pleased with their selection. The bread served before ordering was delicious as were my crab cakes. Prices and serving sizes are reasonable. Our waitress was very thoughtful and prompt. I tend to lean toward regional cuisine but Deer Lake Inn has a wide variety of great tasting food.Dietary restrictions: Several gluten-free options are available.

Had a great time for sweetest day. Still a nice place to dine. Had a 5:00 reservation & glad I did. Was sat immediately & server ready to take a drink order. Wife ordered salmon & I had a sea food medley that we both enjoyed. The glasses of wine, salads, bread, desert and service were all spot on. Well orchestrated.

We made reservations over a week in advance for the night before Valentine's Day. Upon arriving, we were seated in short order. A nice corner table. After sitting there for a time, waiting for a waitress to drop by, the manager (I assume) asked us to move to a different table because some couple had requested the table we were sitting at. Ok, whatever. A little off-putting, honestly. It had been 5 minutes and no one had even stopped by to drop off a water, and already we are asked to move. We did not pick the table, that's where the host seated us. If it was set asside for some other couple, the host should have known that. Our new table had a great view of the bathrooms and service area. So there's that. Had the Manager been on his toes, he would have moved us to an even nicer table than the one we left. Not one that is worse. I guess in his mind, we were lucky to have a table at all. The wife had the maple river salmon, which was excellent. I had the crab stuffed shrimp, which was ok. Nothing special. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse, which was more like pudding than mousse. My wife had the creme brulee, which was not great. It was more like vanilla pudding. Thin, and not rich at all. Oh, well. Could've been better overall. I expected better from a Kruse establishment. I suppose we will go again someday, but I'm not in any hurry to go.

Outstanding lunch. 330 salad was amazing. I will be back soon for that. Also had the pasta Primavera which is the best I've had. Odd to add craisins and almonds but it enhanced the dish. As always bread is fabulous.

Frankly, extremely disappointed in my meal this time. I really don’t think I want to go back any time soon. I ordered whitefish. I substituted broccoli for the vegetable. The meal was not hot nor warm. The broccoli was ice cold and almost raw. The fish was not warm. I’m taking a break.
