This location is terrible anymore. I used to go every morning now I have switched to making at home or dunkin.... I got tired of crappy expensive coffee with a long wait.
Update: Over the last few years this location has improved and the staff is nicer and better trained.
Recent refresh of the store. New is nice, but less cozy place to hang out… more focused on the drink production line. Drive thru is service priority. Mobile order may have faster service if in drive-thru queue for pick-up.

I’ve been a Clarkston resident for 12+ years and was excited when this spot first opened. Yes, the parking and drive thru situation was always pretty terrible, but there’s really little to be done about it. The cafe itself was warm and inviting, plenty seating to sit and stay awhile with friends or family.
I haven’t been inside since the major remodel and what a difference. They should hang a sign outside that says “go away”! They extended the barista area to presumably allow for more workers and to turn out drinks faster. It seems things have gone deliberately slower somehow. The cafe is cold and uninviting. Only a few chairs and tables inside, but about as cozy as drinking coffee at a morgue.
Clarkston, to me, is about community. Starbucks got it right when they first opened many years ago. Whatever sad soul designed this latest remodel needs to seek professional help, or at least find a friend to lift their spirits. It’s obvious they were in a deep depression when they designed this store.
Our northern neighbors 🇨🇦 will be seeing more of my business going forward.

Soooo busy and this parking lot is a mess! Terrible location will not be back. Online order took forever and had to wait.

As an Actor and Filmmaker, I tend to hold a lot of meetings at Starbucks on Sashabaw Rd in Independence Township, MI as it's 25 seconds from I-75 and easy to find, but the latest remodel has reduced the available seating considerably and I'm rethinking Starbucks as a destination. It's nice that there are more power outlets to plug devices in, but fewer chairs make this added convenience counterintuitive. Not a fan of having to sit outside so I'm considering alternative, well-known locations. I think Tim Hortons may be a bit more hospitable to guests.
Henry is the best. He is always smiling and always so kind!
Don't walk in and order.... Waited 20 minutes for our order
slowest starbucks i’ve ever seen and once you’re stuck in line you’re stuck so good luck made me late to work many times just because they couldn’t get orders out, no problem with ordering. also the automated responses for each review is honestly really rude to the people that took time to write their reviews btw.

I order my drink at the wrong location, Sam came to the rescue and made me my drink and my food. Thank you Sam!
Nice remodel, but miss the old vibe.
MUCH slower service now with the remodel, they prioritize drive through, not orders inside.
Waited 12 minutes for a brewed coffee that was already brewed, and an iced latte.
This is the best Starbucks ever! Perfection exists, and it’s this Starbucks. Every single time, they are spot on with my drink. They are super quick and make it how it’s supposed to be made. Other locations never shake my brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso, but this location does. They know me by name and are always so friendly. The atmosphere is just perfect. I'm always doing my schoolwork there. Ever since they closed for renovations, I’ve had to resort to going to the other two locations near me, which are the Dixie and Baldwin ones, and they suck! I literally love this location! ❤️

WORST STARBUCKS EXPERIENCE EVER !! The Drive thru worker was a Ginger Caucasian girl with thick acne she was very rude to me she constantly ignored me and yelled at me in a very nasty tone telling me what am I gonna pay with while I was trying to ask her to use my points for a free bakery item ! she didn’t have a name tag so I wanted to describe her in the best way possible ,I spoke with Store manager Mr.Gunar and shift supervisor Kyle both men didn’t help me or resolved my issue !
