First time trying this place. It did not disappoint! Elsa the lady upfront was extremely polite and helpful in helping me build my bagel/egg sandwich. It is very clean inside, and the coolest thing I ever saw in a bagel place, and I am a major bagel lover, is the big window where you can see them actually making the bagels fresh every day! Every ingredient on my sandwich tastes like it was just picked out of a garden. I will absolutely be taking a drive from Farmington Hills to get bagels from this place.

I visited Barry’s Bagels in Clawson for the first time today, and it was an amazing experience! I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, and tomato, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The person who took my order (I wish I had gotten her name!) was super delightful to interact with—friendly, welcoming, and made the experience even better. My food came out quickly, which was a nice surprise. I’ll definitely be back tomorrow morning for another bagel. Highly recommend Barry’s Bagels if you’re in the area!

Even under new ownership (since September 2025) you will still wait 1 hour for a bagel or breakfast sandwich. Barry’s corporate needs to get involved or this location needs to become something else

Be careful if someone in your party has allergies. We ordered plain and garlic bagels, but the garlic had two crumbles of garlic and were covered in sesame seeds to which my child is HIGHLY allergic. Call it a sesame bagel at least. I also ordered online early in the morning and when I picked up 2 hours later they were out of the other flavor I wanted. They should pack the orders as they come in for to go bagels. Oh, and my bagels were in a small plastic bag, not the standard brown paper. Back to my other bagel place as I’m done wasting money here.

New owners are doing an awesome job, so glad it’s reopened and with friendly fast staff- best part is they still have all the bagel choices at 12pm on a Sunday which is so rare for a bagel place :)
The bagels and cream cheese were excellent as always… And with the new owners, the menu seems a lot better too, with lots of choices for breakfast or lunch. My only complaint is the onion stick… I would stay away from it… Unless you like copious amounts of salt… I really didn’t taste any onion and the amount of salt on there was crazy… Even after I scraped it all off, it was hard to eat. It may be better if they list it as a salt stick, and then maybe do something different where the onion stick doesn’t have salt, and maybe even offer other flavors or a plain stick… As is, I would never order an onion stick again. But I do want to reiterate everything else was excellent, and they have some of my favorite cream cheese… And the bagels are awesome, with the right consistency on the outside and a nice soft consistency on the inside With great flavor. I also ordered the coffee and that was very good too.
