Without a doubt the best Thai food in Metro Detroit. It rivals the best Thai food I’ve had across the country. It is seriously that good! The tofu is exceptional. The sauce is perfect. Great work!

Chicken Pad Thai is always good. Friendly service

The food was bland with 2 pieces of chicken. There was no spice. My food looked nothing like the pictures uploaded. The food is not authentic.

Delicious authentic thai food. Consistent exceptional service. My husband and I moved to Montana over six months ago but came back to Michigan recently, they still remember his name and specifics to our orders. We are thoroughly impressed, out of the numerous thai restaurants in the Clawson area we now only frequent Lil Thai (unless its Sunday sorry guys ?) never a complaint here, thanks for being great guys!

Ordered online last night via Postmates (their website directs you there when you click on pick up) Received an email that my order was received, in process and then ready for pick up. When I arrived at the restaurant they are CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE according to the paper sign taped to the door. Why are orders being taken and charged then? My credit card was charged and emails to Postmates state "it should be refunded in 1-3 days" Can you say SCAM?

I frequent this excellent place from time to time as I love the ambiance that is unique to this place. The personel is highly loyal and experienced. The service is very rapid. Not to mention, the food you get is perfect. I frequent many times and I was always happy. The expense is reasobable. I highly suggest this restaurant to all my friends.

Swear this place took over another year Thai spot. It used to be Bangkok silver bowl. This is a nice Thai spot in Clawson, a young mom and pop shop. They have been here for about 4 years now. Our waitress is super sweet, friendly, nice. She was quick with our order. Made sure we were happy with our meals and our visit. It has a bright orange and white decor, fun plastic lily lights. We ordered veggie spring roll and crab Rangoon, since the crab Rangoon looked good on the pics here. Ordered pad Thai with steamed tofu and extra spicy massaman curry with steamed tofu, medium spicy. Not a busy spot, then again it's only a Tuesday night. Feel like this place is probably popular for carry outs. Watched several peeps coming in and taking out their food. The veggie spring rolls were good, but has the crispy skin that's normal at most Thai spots. The white crispy skin is for the meat spring roll. Their crab Rangoon are made here and are so delicious, crab filled and creamy, just the way it should be. So nocelThey are the best crab Rangoon I have eaten to date. The pad Thai and the massaman curry are both generous size entrees. Lots of noodles and tofu oh the pad Thai. Lots of wavy sliced potatoes and tofu in the massaman curry. They mean extra spicy if you order it that way. The pad Thai was perfectly spicy for my hubby. It's still burning my lips from the two small bites consumed. The pad Thai was yummy and delicious in every possible way. Noodles were slightly chewy, the tofu was soft and soaked up the sauce. The massaman curry was quite tasty, it didn't have the usual coconut and sweetness with massaman that you might expect. The sauce is much more red, it's almost more of a red coconut curry than the usual white coconut with most massaman curry. It's much more savory than sweet, it's still very good though. I like how the potatoes are sliced with a wave in them, not the usual chunks of potatoes. It all works well for me since it's more savory than sweet, just the way I like it too. The service here was awesome, they are quick with the orders, the food comes out quick. We will definitely be back here for more fantastic food in the near future. This is a definite gem here in Clawson, lucky. :) Give it a try, you won't regret it and it will become a regular spot for you too. Came back a few days later and brought some friends to give it a try too. Had to get their creamy, lovely, crispy, crabby homemade crab Rangoon, this stuff is like crack here. I got their tomyum soup with the steamed tofu. We ordered the pad Thai but with chicken instead and a veggie curry with steamed tofu. Our friends ordered the spring rolls, drunken noodle with chicken and a pad pak with shrimp. Everything was as good as our first visit. Our friends loved their piping hot spring rolls, drunken noodles and their pad pak. They will be back for sure. Their chili oil is what gives their dishes such flaming heat but keeps it tasty too.

So on 11-14-2019 was my first time eating here. I got home from work, and I got on yelp to deal with my daily struggle of where am I going to eat lol. I wanted to go to someplace new. I found this place, and it was close, so I decided to give it a shot. I walk in, and I really like the big windows i bet its really nice in the summer. I ordered up chicken pad thai it was delicious the guy who waited on me was awesome. I will be coming back.

This place looked great. Reasonable prices and portions (had the food been decent). And the young lady that helped us was friendly. That's the 2 stars. But wow what a disappointment. Every dish we ordered lacked flavor. Except for being oddly sweet. We had 2 stir fry, a noodle and a fried rice. Went home and had cereal. Money saving tip: Ramen noodles 10x better and 1/100th the price.

I think they cooked all 4 of our dishes in simple syrup and forgot to add any other flavors. Cheap Well maintained/clean Friendly service The food was awful.

I highly recommend this Lil Thai Express restaurant. No fuss, no muss, just stop in and enjoy a relaxing, delicious, enjoyable meal next to the Christmas Tree while watching the movie "Home Alone" on the television. We didn't have to wait. Everything was positively prompt, polite, and professional. The food was great. We had plenty of food to take home for another meal. We Felt very good when we left. And a waitress that says "Merry Christmas"! So I'll say Merry Christmas to all the good people who read this -- even the ones who are "filthy animals". (A line from the movie)
