Detroit Burger Bar is a hidden gem if you’re craving a good meal without the hassle. The burgers are amazing — juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right — and the chicken wrap is just as delicious. The prices are really reasonable for the quality, and there’s no long wait to get seated or served. Our waitress was nice and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a go-to spot for a laid-back, tasty meal!

This was the first time we have been to this location, and it was underwhelming. Friendly, but slow service. I had to send back a well done burger that was ordered medium. At a burger bar...isn't this supposed to be thier thing? Can't cook a burger correctly? Hmm, I was surprised. We have had the burger island before, swimming in it's sea of chili and surrounded by tots or fries or whatever...not here. Burger on one plate, stuff on the other. And, no stamp on the top bun! So they whiffed on the burger, didn't use the signature stamp, and everything else was average. Last trip here, but thanks.

I stopped in here for the first time today and I have to say, The staff were very friendly, but the food was so bad I couldn’t eat it and my lemonade tasted like dish water.

2nd time in a row we were ignored by staff members with a almost empty (one group of six that had their food when we walked in and four people at the bar)
No staff member visually or verbally acknowledged us the whole time until 9 minutes after we sat down.
Detroit burger bar has a decent menu of novelty burgers with delicious tots!
Sadly we will not be going to that location in Clawson again.

Burger was cooked perfectly. Fries were great. Service was excellent.

Wait staff is very rude. Sign said seat yourself and upon seating ourselves waited 20 minutes only to have 3-4 people walk by, say nothing and no service at all. Ended up leaving and going somewhere else in the area and was served right away. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many other restaurants in the area.

Went here with coworkers for my bday lunch. Ordered the Old Detroit Chicken Salad (Fresh lettuce, grilled chicken breast, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, onions and your choice of dressing).
Waitress brought it to the table. Took a couple bites and the chicken tasted rubbery and had a lot of stringy fat attached.
Waitress came back to our table asked how our meals were. I spoke up and said that I didn’t think the chicken was cooked, it contained a bunch of fat tasted rubbery.
She then told us that the owner ordered dark meat instead of white meat. Offered to take something off the bill.
Would have been nice to know that my salad that was specifically supposed to have a chicken breast on it was being replaced with the worst piece of dark meat I’ve ever seen.
Waitress was really rude once she overheard our private conversation that we were having about not being told about the chicken in the first place when I ordered.
We will not be returning. Who knows what they are trying to replace what menu item with another.
