Had a terrible experience here. Came 2 min after my reservation and was told I had to wait until the priority reservations were seated.(whatever that means) 3 obnoxious rude and condescending kids working as hosts. It was almost like they were happy to tell me that I am not able to be seated. I am African american and I definitely felt some sort of discrimination(do not come here if you’re African American!) do not come here in general unless you want to have a bad experience

Place was clean, bartender friendly, chef was super ! The man who took our order had the worst attitude ever, blatantly told us he had to rush us to take our order…We waited 45 minutes to be seated WITH a reservation! So why rush ? Overall the food was Great and yes I’d return. He was one bad apple. 🍎

Joseph was kind to all of us, provided excellent service, and gave us all amazing food. The other staff were also kind as well and checked in on us frequently for water and other drinks!

All I needed was a different server. He didn't care. The hibachi chef was great

Absolutely awful experience at Osaka Restaurant. The food was ridiculously salty and had no flavor at all. It's like they think over-seasoning is a substitute for actual taste. On top of that, the customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and clearly didn’t care about the customers. Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time or money here. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere where the food and service are actually worth it.

PROS: Chef Casey was the best, and he helped to make my husbands' birthday a night to remember. Thanks for great hibachi and laughs Chef Casey.

CONS: The sushi was just OK, the pop is horrible, the lemonade is better, and the 18% gratuity is automatically added for 5 people or more but it's not that bad.

Just went out as a girl's night with my friends we ordered D3 with steak and fried rice with shrimp. Note the shrimp was raw and rubbery the fried rice was okay. The steak was well done when we wanted medium well . - it seemed like we were also in a hurry to get out. The waitress was not paying attention while grabbing our receipts during closing time . No music at all . I highly don't recommend coming here .

***LONG REVIEW***

I visited this place for the first time on Dec. 28, 2024 after being invited to a surprise birthday dinner. I am not a huge Hibachi fan, but the portions were large: they gave you fried rice and noodles, so you have more than enough food.

The saving grace to this experience was our cook Stan, as he was the most friendly person we encountered during this visit. That’s the only reason I give a star for service. As mentioned, this was a surprise dinner so although the reservation was for 3:30 pm, the person hosting the event asked us to arrive at 3:15 so we can sit and they could walk in to all 25 of us there for the surprise.

When we arrived, majority of the party was there (except the person who was hosting n the honoree), but the two males (who I assume to be managers or owners) refused to seat us. After one person in the party reiterated this was a surprise, one of the males (younger no glasses) nonchalantly said “well you all can stand outside and surprise them”. Then comes another male (older with glasses) and he kept saying we could not sit down because of a multitude of reasons. First it was because it wasn’t the reservation time, then we couldn’t sit because everyone wasn’t there, lastly he said we couldn’t sit because we couldn’t take up three tables (due to there being 25) and not have everyone show.

None of that made sense because #1 a reservation was made #2 a deposit was put down to secure said reservation #3 they automatically charge 18% gratuity #4 there were 25 of us so they were going to make at least $1,000 from our party alone.

So I asked what is the point of a reservation and a deposit and gratuity if we can’t be accommodated? The older male with glasses said “we don’t do large parties and we can’t let you all take up room since we’re expecting 230 people tonight [for dinner throughout the night]”. To which I responded “ohh ok I see, it’s because we’re black right? Because I guarantee you if it was a group of your people (Japanese) or white, you wouldn’t be doing all of this”. To which he became instantly offended, got an attitude and tried to keep arguing back and forth telling me “don’t try that race stuff with me”. Then he threatened to cancel the reservation because he said I “gave him attitude”. After arguing back and forth with us, and threatening to let $1000+ walk out the door, we were finally able to sit.

Then we were told by the bad built, bad attitude, bad wig waitress, Bri, that there was a 15 minute timer set and we had to order within that time frame and if we don’t then we can’t order. Our guest of honor had not arrived yet and at this point it was about 340pm and we’re getting to the seats, getting settled n looking at menus. We asked can we wait until they come, Bri said no, we couldn’t do that. Then she went to ask and magically it became ok, but she was not happy about it, even though she’d be getting her 18% tip automatically.

Th guest arrived and the surprise went well, but everything leading up to it was very complicated and unnecessary. I guess because the waitress Bri and one other black waitress was in the building, that was the older male with glasses justification for not being racist. All in all, the bill ended up being more than $1000 and when the host confronted the gentleman (at the end of service) who had everything to say earlier, he magically had no issues n said there were none and could now barely speak English.

Needless to say, this was first and last time here and I’d advise any black person with a large party to consider elsewhere…

I spend money here often unfortunately today was the worst experience I’ve had on my husband birthday. After waiting for others to join our table that we were at first the party that joined had food allergies so we were forced to eat in the order of their food allergies as if we had allergies. My lobster was the first thing cooked before noodles and anything else. Which was easily cold before anything else touched my plate. I received my steak before everyone at the table being that I ordered well done and everyone else had medium rare was not understood to me. Our rice was cooked last and was not done. I spoke with the manager and I was told he can take my food and take it off my bill or remake my rice that I already had to wait last on as if that was the only thing wrong. Was not accommodating or showed any sympathy for returning customers of at least 4 visits a month on a special day of my husbands. I will be contacting corporate as well.

A lady spilled sprite on the grill and instead of throwing away the steak the chef cooked it and gave it to my boyfriend

Update: I will not be coming back here at all. The chef lied about the details of the story and instead of hearing me out they questioned why I didn't tell a manager when it happened. I honestly didn't tell them because I didn't want to make a big deal out of anything but this horrendous service. Worst experience ever. It's overpriced.

Call today and told the manager regarding the quality of the food, which I was very disappointed that we come here all the time and the food was not good. He told me we should’ve spoke to a manager that day, but assume managers leave at 5 PM and we came in after seven. I called to let him know the experience that we received, and he hung up the phone.
