Red Olive Restaurant - Clawson

Don’t go here. All I ordered was bacon and pancakes for takeout after eating saganaki and when I got home to open my meal all I had was 3 pancakes. I’m really curious how do you write down an order, package it and see there’s no bacon and still charge $14 for only 3 pancakes? Never coming to this particular brand or restaurant again. Atmosphere wasn’t welcoming for people like me

Went to lunch today. August 7th 2025 with a co-worker and she ordered the patty melt she took two bites and told the waitress that it tasted like it was sour kind of like it was spoiled. The way just took it back and she did not want to remove the price from the check we told her that we want the sandwich to be removed since it was not eaten. She had the nerve to say well you didn't throw it up. Wow she did not want to take this sandwich off at all but she finally did after we had to tell her that thank God she didn't get sick

I love this place it's absolutely just a gem I would not go anywhere else and let me tell you God is it is these are the best hash browns I have ever had in my life ever. I'll leave it at that no the next thing that made the standout was the service from the waitress she knew what she was doing for sure I have had an interactions with other waitresses that just never come close to this she went above and beyond for me why don't you just write we go back to it yeah

I had a gift card no better choice was to come here to eat, my veggie burger, and fries were very hot, I would have like the burger to be moist!

I'm reading all the reviews and frankly very surprised at the bad ones. This place has never disappointed me. I order doordash delivery to pickup carryout. Food has always been spot on!

Waitress was really bad and I was basically the only one there so no excuse chicken was cold which tells me it was pre cooked used to be good but like most restaurants now lousey everything and increased prices have been going here for years but I think I'm done here cross another one off my list

One of our friends recommended the restaurant while we were visiting. It wasn't too busy when we went there on a late Sunday morning. We were able to get a table without waiting.

They have a wide selection on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had breakfast. The omelettes were very good. It came with cubed potatoes and toast. The coffee was tasty as well. The food came out hot and the portions were large. The left overs will be another meal.

There is plenty of parking out front. It is easy access from the main road. We will be back sometime for dinner.

The chicken was over cooked and the rice was under cooked and had no flavor. Waitress never came back to ask if we needed anything else. Will never go back.

As a black doordasher I always come back and pay respects to the restaurants that great me with kindness and appreciation. With that being said, I WILL NOT ever in my life come to Red Olive and clearly other black people feel the same way because they don't have not one black customer. Food looks bland asl too so I'm glad I wasn't met with kindness this time
