My cortado tasted absolutely disgusting, either the machine isn’t calibrated or using extract hot water or a shot that is over extracted. The coffee tasted metallic and acidic. I happen to travel all over the world and never have I had such a bad cortado.

Sabbath Coffee & Roasters is such a gem in Clawson! I stopped in on a Friday morning around 9am and had a fantastic experience.

The shop itself is small and cozy inside, with plenty of outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. Even though the space is tight, it never felt overwhelmingly loud. The decor has fun millennial vibes with thoughtful seasonal touches, and everything inside was spotless. (The outdoor tables were a little dusty, but honestly that’s just the nature of outdoor seating!)

The staff here are wonderful — smiling, kind, patient while taking orders, and quick to get drinks out.

I tried two drinks: my usual iced caramel latte and their seasonal Goober Latte. Both were excellent! The caramel latte had the perfect balance of sweetness and espresso. The Goober was a creative seasonal special — the peanut butter flavor came through beautifully, and the cold foam was thick and delicious (though I didn’t pick up much of the berry flavor). Drinks are one standard size, but it’s just right — satisfying without being too much. Presentation was gorgeous, and you can really taste the freshness of their house-roasted beans.

I also love that they accommodate different diets with vegetarian/pescatarian-friendly menu options and several milk alternatives.

A couple of extra details worth mentioning: they have a walk-up window outside, which is perfect if you’re bringing your dog, and the outdoor seating could easily accommodate families or larger groups. Parking is limited right in front, but there’s plenty available just down the street and behind the building (all free!).

Overall, Sabbath is warm, welcoming, and clearly a place that puts care into every detail. I’ll absolutely be back!

I ordered a cappuccino but I got a flat white. Five bucks ( inc.the lowest tip on the screen) for 8 oz is airport prices. It was pretty good but not excellent.

I bought a few bags to make lattes at home, and the Brazil Serra Negra and Ritual House Blend are my favorite. Highly recommend buying beans from here!

My favorite coffee anywhere. My local family always sends me a bag for Christmas and birthdays, and it's just the best 🤎

Amazing coffee. My husband mentioned he wanted to try the ghost pepper mocha but one of the baristas suggested a mocha with cayenne. My husband said it was delicious. We also go a sticker and a very awesome pin!

Our only complaint was the outdoor seating chairs. We love the idea of the outdoor seating and the light above, but we didn’t want to stay too long on our date because of the uncomfortable seating.

Great coffee; talented roasters and baristas. Always love trying their seasonal drinks, the banana black tea latte they have this summer is fantastic and the frozen latte never misses.

I come here occasionally, coffee is alright, sometimes good, just not my style. But they do offer E&T and have Crispelli’s pastries which I like.

I just don’t understand why the barista put a sad face on my ticket. It’s in the spot where my name would go I imagine, but he didn’t get my name.

Clearly this is not appropriate. Because if there’s any chance it was about me, that is immature and mean.
