My favorite bar in metro Detroit!!!!! Drinks and food is always good. Any review that leaves less than 5 stars doesn’t know what a good cocktail is.

Forced Payment and Possible Discrimination
I had a terrible experience here. Due to my expired ID ( even I showed the validated ID with photo), I couldn’t order alcohol, which I accepted. However, after switching drinks with my friend (ID is validated but she is driver and sentensive to almond inside of drink she ordered), the manager accused us of breaking rules, ask us to leave and forced us to pay an unexpected 22% gratuity. No sign no label and no communication before we asked.
The whole process is kind of full of white arrogance.
The waiter only checked our IDs and ignored others. I felt unfairly targeted, possibly because our driver’s licenses were from out of state or due to discrimination of ethnicity. This treatment was unprofessional and unacceptable.
Leave my lasting night at Detroit with depression.
With all of this unfriendly, unprofessional, disrespectful experience, I do not recommend this place.

Weiss offers such a romantic, mysterious and cozy atmosphere with speakeasy vibes. Their craft cocktails are harmoniously out with unique house-made spirits and mixers. Jake was so friendly and attentive. He is a master at what he does and will come up with a fun concoction if you suggest to him what you like! I even love the fresh popcorn as a delightful added touch! Definitely worth the stop before drinks if you’re in Clawson!

The first time my friends and I visited, we didn’t stay long. We thought Weiss was cute, but in short, an issue with the seating prompted us to leave without really experiencing the bar. However, the owner (who seems to really care about his establishment) reached out, so we decided to give this place another shot. And I’m glad we did. We returned Halloween weekend. The decor and the music were a nice vibe, but I was most impressed by the bartender and his yummy drinks. I would recommend this place. I’d also recommend making a reservation ahead of time.

Drinks are 85% ice cubes
This place is great most of the time. Around Halloween, they pretend that they are the most exclusive spot in the area. I'm not sure if it's the management, or the staff but they lie about how busy they are. In the month of October, we walked in 5 minutes after they opened and were told it was a 5 hour wait 😂. We were seated much quicker. I've experienced this multiple times. They will also tell you that they're reserved for the whole month of October. I guess they do not know how to leave room for walk-ins, even at the bar. They seem very new/unprofessional. Other times of the year they are a great spot to visit though!

I had an amazing time here! The atmosphere is so cool and relaxed, with fun, creative drinks and excellent service all around. A special shoutout to our hostess, Dua—she was outstanding. Her ability to handle the chaos of a busy night with such grace and professionalism really stood out to me, especially as a former waitress myself. She kept us informed about our seating and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

One of the hosts/managers/waitresses (I’m not sure) was really rude. We had a group of larger girls come in and they wouldn’t let us make reservations over 5 which is fine. So we all made all different reservations and it was totally fine that we didn’t sit together. However, when we sat down, the lady came over to a table next to us and loudly shouted “the girls next to you tried to break the rules and didn’t follow our reservation rules” while we were sitting right next to her. It was very disrespectful. Then she kept repeating that our reservation is almost over and that she basically wants us out. We felt uncomfortable, unwelcomed, and rushed to leave. She was very rude and unpleasant. I don’t think any of us would ever go there again because of our experience. That lady does not need to work in customer service anymore and needs to leave. I would not recommend this place to others.

Went for halloweiss and had a blast. The drinks were fantastic, the music was on point, service was great and the decor was super cute. Definitely make a reservation if you want to get in during Halloween.

This place is so cool! Hubby and I had a date night here in Feb 2024 and we really enjoyed ourselves. We had a reservation and arrived during our time slot. The seats were very close to other patrons but it's a small bar. We tried various cocktails and even had caviar for the first time! There isn't anything like this place near us so it was definitely worth the drive to clawson. Can't wait to go back.

The second you walk through a double-sided elevator to enter the dark setting of WdCo. bar; you know you've arrived somewhere special. This is not your grandpa's favorite divebar to have a bud light. I'd call it more of a meeting place for professionals of alcohol-infused libations. The seasonally-changing/themed menu and sophicated ingredient combos expand the palette and mind for patrons. My favorite part is the cool glassware/mugs used for the cocktails. Full-price/full strength/and well executed for the fully expectant. This place isn't cheap and you will taste why. Great for a date or mixing business with pleasure . I'd say it's a lot easier for couples or solo. This place isn't set up for large gatherings and is popular! So expect to not just walk in expecting accommodation. Parking around that area is a beast, so good luck! Must try! For craft cocktail afficionados! Salud !? ?

Been here a few times and have experienced the different themes- Halloweiss, Weiss on Ice, Weiss in the Wild, and most recently Miami Weiss. The themed decor and changing menu are always great- it’s nice to come in and have something new to try!
We’ve had luck being walk-ins when they first open, but definitely recommend reservations if it’s a later time or weekend- especially with the holiday themes.
Went on a Sunday around 530 for Miami Weiss. The drinks were great, and Nick especially was super nice and personable!
