I went to Applebee's in Clio michigan at 5pm today Applebee's April 28, 2025. I had curbside pick up. I ordered 2.Burgers very well done. One of my burgers was still pink in it.I took it back inside and told the manager. I told him just credit it to me . On mondays , they have a 10.99 special. That is why I went.I usually go on Mondays.I figure it would be better than mcdonald's or burger king for the same price. So he me asked me if I wanted to keep my drink which I had left in my car and I did not want to walk all the way back out to my car to get it . which is included in the price I thought. So he gave me back$8 for the hamburger. And charge me $3 for my drink. For a drink that I was just giving to my husband because I don't drink lemonade or pop. And another thing, why can't I only pay the $8 for a burger that he gave me back?. I drink water. Seriously I was appalled. He could not give me the full $10.99 back for my inconvenience. It's really wasn't about the money.It's just how he handled it.

Me and my fiancé just left the Applebees in Clio and we had a very rude waitress at first she told us she would be back to get our drinks and she walked by us twice more after that we finally stopped her and asked if we could get our drinks she then stated I will go and get your waitress. We ended up getting a different waitress and she was amazing. Shout out to Nicole. Cassandra the one we had at first after she didn’t get our drinks for us at the end of our meal she was complaining the whole time that she had to do her job as she made the other waitresses do her job she then took the broom they use to clean the floor picked it up and wiped a table off with it. How gross. Applebees get a new waitress that wants to do her job she applied for.

Applebee's Grill + Bar CLIO LOCATION‼️ Double charged my card and are very well aware of it and told me they sent it to HR and their tech person and give me a personal number to a Mike Brown and he has not returned any of my calls, meanwhile I receive this email stating that they double charged me and put the amount of my bill in as a tip after i was told it was a system error. I’ve been trying to work with them for weeks now.

Came with a party of 6 requested a table. Waited 20 minutes other parties of 4 or more were seated without any wait while we were waiting. Finally a guy comes and say we have a booth available. We requested a table so we would be comfortable. We left and went to bagger daves in birch run. Food was terrific i recommend the pastrami burger... I won't be patronizing this location ever again!
Update 3/29/25----- My group of 4 adults and 4 children waited 40 minutes to get seated. Meanwhile a family of nearly 15 got seated right away. I dont mind waiting but where is the customer service? We were told 5-10 minutes and never got an update. So my family left and went to another establishment. If your a POC do not come here! I will never come back to this location!
Watched a hostess, dropped a stack of napkins on the floor, picked them up, and proceeded to stack them hostess stand. A few minutes later, grab napkins that had been on the floor to wipe tables clean for the next guest.

Update: After speaking with Brian the manager, we returned to Applebee’s and had a much better meal where the food and service was 100% better than what we experienced on February 14. Brian took the time to make sure everything was done properly and apologized for the bad experience we had. Brian was a good representation of what a manager should be an expressed his apologies for the bad experience. We will be going back.
Went to Applebee’s on February 14, 2025 ( Valentine’s Day ). We did expect more longer than normal weight. Upon arrival I was told it would be about 20 minutes for a table, after 30 minutes I I inquired and they said it’s gonna be about a 45 minute wait. At this point I asked if there’s a way we could at least just get a table. At first they said there was nothing open, but I had to point out that there was three empty tables and two empty booths. they seated at a table, our waitress, very polite very friendly. Let us know that it would be an hour wait for our food. We figured it would be OK. We could sit and talk whatever. Hour and 25 minutes later we get our food. My burger was cold even though she said the cook said it just came off the grill. It was cold. My fries were cold not to mention I only had about 14 french fries but they were cold. The prime rib dip that we got was extremely overcooked and cold with about 14 french fries. Informed the waitress that the food was cold. She asked if we wanted to them to remake the food and I said nope, after waiting this long to get cold food, I don’t want to go through this again. She was nice enough to bring us another order of fries which you would figure an order of fries and have enough for two people sadly, it was not it was about 20 french fries. At least they were hot. I asked for a manager, the manager never showed up. We get our bill $46 for cold food and two and a half hours out of our evening. I understand it was Valentine’s Day and we anticipated a little bit of a weight but cold food absolutely not especially after waiting so long. The waitress didn’t try to make things any better by comping a couple drinks or whatever, management never showed up. Not only did management not show up, but I also called the next morning left a message and to this day I still have not received a call. Great job Applebee’s. so, with that being said, I do not recommend this Applebee’s location, especially on a Hallmark holiday.

I liked the waffle fries appetizer and the pretzel sticks. Staff was very friendly and the manager was nice enough to greet us and ask how everything was.

Not a great experience. In Clio much better restaurant choices. If you want Applebee's go to Birchrun. Bartender was extremely rude so we left. Too many great food options out there to tolerate that disrespectful rude attitude.
