We ate at Bills Grill last night and the only highlight was the service and very cold draft beer. I ordered the "lake perch" and it was absolutely terrible. I lived on Lake Eire for over 50 years, and I know yellow perch. I've caught, cleaned, cooked and eaten perhaps thousands in those years. There was absolutely no taste and I had to actual cut the filets with a knife because they were so tough. . We had onion rings and they were greasy and not crisp. I believe that the oil was not hot enough for proper frying. My wife had the fish combo platter with cod, lake perch and another fish. She said that they were all tasteless. We took the leftovers home and will be throwing they away. We will not be returning to Bills. Maybe we should have had burgers.

Wow. This place makes the best pizza in the area. Also, the cheesesteak sandwich is really wonderful. It's made with shaved prime rib on a delicious bun.It's well worth the 8 minute drive from downtown Coldwater.
Normally we enjoy bill’s restaurants, but the original is definitely better than the grill. Last visit one steak was way undercooked and it took about 10 minutes for them to return with it. The other steak was gristly and tough. The tater tots were seasoned in the kitchen and they were so salty that I couldn’t eat them. The servers seemed more interested in the bill session that they were having in the kitchen then checking on their customers. I would have assumed that they would notice that I didn’t eat very much of the steak and almost none of the potatoes. They never asked how the food was or if we needed anything else. They were out to lunch.

Angie, Cheryl & I, enjoying a terrific lunch at Bill's Grill House in Coldwater. Prime Rib & Broiled Cod were our choices. Forgot to take a Pic of Angie's Cod. Dessert was Carrot Cake & Caramel Cheesecake... Everything was absolutely delicious! Our lovely server, Nerissa, who took great care of us, was very polite, professional & just a Sweetheart. Nerissa deserves a pay raise & an extra week of paid vacation. Highly recommend this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options.
