The food was great! Service was bad. The waiter kept forgetting each time we asked for something, and we had to keep reminding him.
I frequent El Asadero sometimes 2-3 times per month but have cut back in the last few months after starting to experience lack in quality service and food. The first bad experience after eating here for years happened at the beginning of the summer. I ordered take out chicken tacos which had rotten Cilantro on them and tasted like rotten fish and were so bad that I ended up throwing them away. Since then, I've eaten there a handful of times and the service has not been good. Servers are different than the regular ones that were working there and don't come back to ask if you need anything after dropping your food off and taking off to never be seen again until you get the bill. I waited for hot sauce and by the time I saw the server again, i had finished eating. This is my favorite restaurant and I have been disappointed the last several times I've visited.
