Wonderful family restaurant. I appreciate that many of the menu item are made in house opposed to the same frozen stuff available in town! My family has made a yearly tradition 3+ years now of apending Thanksgiving with Dawn's place and look forward all year to those cheesy potatoes! Best cheesecake on EARTH. Check her out. It's Colon Michigan's best kept gem. Thank you Dawn and the team!
My over medium eggs were perfectly done. The ham had a nice flavor, and the hash browns were a perfect crispness. The small town diner feeling was evident as it seemed the local customers are familiar with the staff and the menu. I will make sure to stop in again when I come through Colon again!
VFW Post 6464 riders (American Legion 141 riders) went on a ride to Colon and stumbled upon Dawn’s Cafe. It was a great experience - the staff was very welcoming and attentive. The food was great, the atmosphere fantastic, and the people were phenomenal. They were eager to share their stories and had so much pride in their town. We have decided to make this an annual trip!
