Oh my goodness what a lovely experience. A group of ours bought tickets for a guest chef Saturday dinner (Sarah Rinklage) and were thrilled with the evening. The staff is charming and incredible. The venue is cozy and rustic. Sarah’s menu was fantastic. Looking forward to our next special event at Farrand Hall.

Could be improved: communication. 3 of my 4 emails went unanswered (hence the need for 4 emails) and as first time guests had questions that weren’t entirely answered by the FAQ page. The site says emails will be answered in 24 hours and that was not our experience.

But otherwise, certainly a 5-star experience that we can’t wait to share with other friends, to bring them along for another outing. Well done.

Saturday 9/21/24 - terrible. Entree was 4-5 dry ravioli. Not enough food, not a single memorable dish. I would consider this relatively inexpensive fine dining - it still wasn’t worth it. Don’t go out of your way for this out of the way dining experience.

Farrand Hall is absolutely beautiful and filled with so much charm! From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by its historic elegance and welcoming atmosphere. It truly is a gem for the community and the surrounding areas, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. My experience here was nothing short of wonderful—I felt so happy and at peace during my visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a special place that perfectly blends beauty and serenity.

We have eaten at Farrand Hall multiple times, for dinner and lunch (when the Cafe was open). The outdoor atmosphere is like a rustic fairyland which we wander through each time we go. The food has been phenomenal and we are rarely disappointed. We enjoyed Jodi Brunori's food and now Dante Hall is taking it to a whole new level! The Dining Hall can be noisy during service and that makes it difficult to hear my tablemates but it is fun to get to know new people. Looking forward to our first guest chef dinner coming up! Jacob and James are welcoming, wonderful hosts.

Drove almost two hours and it was well worth it! The food was great, the company (Dan & Sarah from Kzoo) were fantastic and the grounds were gorgeous. The only thing I would suggest is to have pop. I'm not a drinker, and I disliked the two non alcoholic teas they had.

Wonderful Wednesday night dinner!! it had rained all day, so we were inside instead of outside, but it was a beautiful space! Dinner was fantastic and we loved the whole experience. There was something very relaxing and magical about it.✨

Lovely and I ate here a few days ago and really enjoyed ourselves. We met a nice couple ( Thank you Rob and Lisa for great company ) that made the experience even better. Beautiful gardens accent the dining area , and the food was fun, tasty, and plentiful. We had three different lamb preparations that were each uniquely different and appetizing. I took a pics of a few dishes, but there were more I missed. Our host was informative and friendly. We look forward to our next visit to Farrand Hall.

The best meal I have ever had in the U.S. Dont’e is a culinary genius. Absolutely worth the money… get over there!

Loved every bit of it. The staff chef is amazing, so even if it's not a special guest chef, you're still in very good hands. The garden was lovely and the food was perfect.

The location of this venue is beautiful. My friend and I drove a significant distance for the Wine and Cheese night. As someone who adores charcuterie, I was disappointed by the pairings. We were given about 1/2 cup of mustard, quartered strawberries, and wilted grapes, but no jams or honey. The presentation was beautiful with flowers, however, we each paid $35 so $70/ board for 3 cheese wedges, some cured meats, and cut up fruits. We drove from Grand Haven with the hope of a magical experience. We could have gotten way better charcuterie and ambiance closer to home.
