Beautiful gardens, great quiet atmosphere, you can actually hear each other talk at a decent level. Salmon was great, steaks could've been better. Very good salad bar with lots of choices.

First visit and it will not be our last. The food was great. Steaks and scallops were cooked perfectly. While eating you could watch hummingbirds and other wildlife. Our server was the very best. Looking forward to our next visit.

It was OK. My Hawaiian Chicken was good. My husband and son's thought the boasted chicken, steak, and chicken fingers were just ok. The desserts were very tasty. Watching the humming birds was nice. I thought the trails would be longer. It was very costly. The four meals with drinks and desserts were 170.00. We won't probably go back.

I’ve lived in Colon for 52 years. And I’ve never eaten there. Until today! GREAT FOOD! Nice staff! Clean. Very nice place.

Dropped in late on a Thursday and have never been treated more like family, in an establishment I've never been to, in my lifetime. Our family has a summer cottage up here and came for dinner on a recommendation from my parents. We were not disappointed. Everything about our experience was just what we were looking for.

Excellent food and service, relaxed atmosphere and gorgeous gardens... watching the hummers while you eat is a happy bonus.

We went really late, 8pm. They are open till 9. Said they'd wait if needed. Sat us and we're really friendly and all the food was good. Lots of hummingbirds, even on the gloomy day we visited. We will plan earlier next time.
Prices are higher, but you're getting a better service and meal. Prime rib, Hawaiian chicken, drinks, and 2 slices of pie, just under $100. We will be back earlier to enjoy more of the view.

I’ve always had a good experience there. It isn’t fast food. It’s a place to go where you can enjoy the salad bar before the entree. Usually 15-30 minutes until the main entree arrives. I worked there and unlike most restaurants it is a tight ship and clean. I enjoy dining there and have always had good service. Also the atmosphere is special with windows into nature. Dining and watching hummingbirds and even deer is special. The gardens and flowers are exquisite. A nice stroll to experience. It’s family owned and deserves support of people who enjoy fine dining.

We recently had a large family get together here. Our table was all set, so we were seated right away. IIma was our waitress and she was fantastic!! Everything she recommended was delicious. She was on top of everything, friendly, funny, great personality, she took care of all our needs. Best waitress ever! Everyone enjoyed their meals. Prime rib, Hawaiian chicken, shrimp scampi, kid’s meal. Salad bar had a nice assortment. It was hard to select a dessert, so many good choices. Everyone thought they were all exceptional. I’ve read other reviews stating that decor is outdated. It maybe does feel like someplace your grandparents use to take you, that is part of its charm! I find the nostalgia of it comforting. There are enough places trying to be hip and trendy. Sometimes you just have to be who you are. Restaurant was clean and we had plenty of room around our table. Our grandson loved walking out back by the waterfalls and bird feeders. In our experience, the food was wonderful and Ilma made our evening. Please support local mom and pop places, visit River Lake Inn! We will be back.
