River Lake Inn Restaurant Gardens-Trails

Went for our wedding anniversary. I had a Halibut dish that was extraordinary. A 5 star dish in any of the finest restaurants I have frequented in the country.

This restaurant is the rarest of jewels in Western Michigan.

Very nice. Our server was very the the friendly and set the tone for the evening. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. We were not rushed and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We also enjoyed the nature trail outside the restaurant. We look forward to returning soon.??

First time here with the family for my birthday dinner. So glad I picked it! The menu is limited but everyone was pleased with what they ordered. Pineapple chicken was delicious, walleye was delicious, can't speak for the steak but it looked good. Ilma was our server and she was very wonderful. Gardens were so pretty and definitely lots of humingbirds! Can't wait to go back. And the salad bar! Lots of options for everyone. Desserts were top notch. The inside is decorated in an old vintage style, lots of cool things to see if you walk around. Overall very good experience which is hard to come by these days. Good job River Inn.

Wonderful place to visit. Great dining atmosphere and food was so delicious. Service was on point. Gorgeous flowers and hummingbirds feeding to be viewed through windows while dining. Opportunity to walk through the gardens of beautiful floral arrangements and pond.

If you like humming birds, this is a must visit. We must have seen over a dozen, some flying within a foot of you. The food is great and all made from scratch. Desserts are a must here. I had the mile high chocolate cake and it is enough for 2. My wife had the german chocolate pie and I only got one little taste of it.

Had the most delightful birthday meal here! Surf and Turf was cooked to perfection ? Salad bar was very fresh with an excellent selection of salad choices. Wine and dessert choices complemented everything- and the personalized service was outstanding! Thank you and God bless!

4 people $160 +, shrimp scampi was broiled shrimp in garlic butter, where was the angle hair pasta, New York strip medium rare and it was medium well sent it back and got a replacement satisfactory, with no comp. Broiled pollock was enjoyed. Half rack of ribs was not tender enough to chew. With the very limited menu they they have and 3/4 of the dining area empty they should be able to do much better for the price. Need to get some new bread sticks on the salad bar or just get rid of them and let people enjoy the warm buns, a stale item does not make a good impression. The gardens with the birds is beautiful and manicured but it does not make up for the food.
