Love the collaborations they do.
We love speciation!! So much so, that my now husband and I went on our first date there. So when it was time to find a wedding venue, we reached out to see if it was possible to host it at Speciation. Thankfully Mitch and the crew said yes, and we had literally the best party ever.
When I say working with the specation team for our wedding was a breeze, I mean it. Any questions I had was answered quickly and with detail. The day of the wedding Jane and Carly took such good care of us and all of our guests. They handled our crew with grace and everyone had a great time. We were able to get into the venue early to do all the set up so that we could have a few hours of peace before the big day started. It was a beautiful space to have our wedding and we are so thankful we did.
We also choose to have the team make us a wedding beer. We got to chat with Mitch for the ideas we had and he brought them to life. We went with a hot toddy inspired beer. They even let us submit our own label for the beer. It was a great gift for our guests, to have on tap during the wedding, and have some extras to drink in our first year married.
If you're looking for an awesome place to host an event, I highly suggest reaching out and working with the speciation crew!
In lieu of a traditional wedding rehearsal dinner, my partner and I rented out Speciation for a Friday night event before our Saturday wedding, and it was amazing!! About 90 guests attended, and everyone had a really great time. Mitch was a great and reliable communicator during event planning, and he offered a lot of different great ideas to help make our night special. He even offered to create a custom cocktail without extra charge! All the staff the night of were super helpful and friendly, and all of our guests (even the ones who weren't at all interested in sours) easily found a drink (or two!) that they enjoyed, and everyone had a really great time. My partner and I loved Speciation's beer and general vibe before our event, but now that we have these special memories there we love it even more!! 5+ stars, would absolutely recommend Speciation for either an event, or just for a delicious beer in a cool spot :)
Lovely place, great staff! Enjoyed the pug event there!!
Nice place, tasty sours!
Very informative staff, and gave great suggestions for our first time here
Great selection of beverages. Non alcohol selection as well! We were there for a wedding and it was a very fun venue.
Great staff, fun tasty beer
Interesting sours. Tried their centennial, stout and a mango Diddy. All were tasty. A bit pricy though. $10 for a mango seltzer. Pretzel focaccia was tasty. Deviled eggs were so-so.
They have interesting brews. Seems like they love experimenting and having fun which is a great quality.
The best part about this place is how family friendly they are- and the bartender was very sweet. It creates a great atmosphere to choose when you want to hang out and try something new.

Great drinks and atmosphere! Also got to see a great band play, Roots Asylum!
Great place with friendly staff. Not too busy in that area of town and not too crowded either.
Staff are friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are delicious and dining area comfortable.
Hands down our favorite brewery in GR. Love the sours and the slushies in the summer! Wednesday trivia is awesome, Friday concerts are super fun, there’s always something to do!
There are a variety of interesting drinks and plenty of space to relax.
