Food was great! Waitress was great with service her name was Kathleen. Not many people here on a Monday but all in all a nice little place to stop and grab some good food!

Went for prime rib last night to celebrate our Anniversary. This was our second time going here and service was HORRIBLE! We ended up being here almost 2 1/2 hours! Waitress came to get our order after we’d been there for at least 15 minutes. I told my husband he could order first so he told the waitress his food order and drink order then she turned to me. I told her my food order and she instantly stopped me and said she needed my drink order. I ordered my drink and then went back to my food order. She then turns to my husband for his order “again”. 🤦♀️. While we were sitting waiting for our food, we heard the ding that an order was up. It took our waitress 15 minutes to grab our food which was already 1 1/2 hours after arrival and my king prime rib was cold! Sent it back and she came out instantly with a smaller prime rib. Whatever-I didn’t complain. Husbands food was lukewarm but ate it anyways. I had to flag the waitress down for a second drink, she never checked on us, after walking past us several times while we were just sitting there I got up and got our own to-go boxes. Cook came out several times to talk at the bar to the waitress - shouldn’t he have been making food rather than having customers wait for hours?
We were there almost 2 1/2 hours and tables were not full with adequate staff. Poor poor service.

We enjoyed lunch at Hardwood Steak house today and we will make this a family favorite spot. We drove from Marquette to Bond Falls, spotted the log cabin style restaurant, and decided to give it a chance. My family of 6 ate meals and dessert and it was cheaper than our order at Wendy’s. Very impressed. I really enjoyed with chicken parm. The fries from my kiddos kids meals were really yummy too. Husband loved jalapeño burger. Kids meals come with a drink and ice cream. Excellent value. Highly recommend.

Food was good, service was horrible! One waitress served 5 tables, 11 people total, bringing one meal at a time out to customers. Waitress was rude until to the customers were finished with there meals. She suddenly became very friendly.

As soon as we walked thru the door the experience was wonderful!! seated right away. got our order taken and soup and Salad out so fast. the French onion soup was beyond the best I've ever had!! and the wonderful fresh rolls with garlic butter are so so good. then our entrees came just as fast! our family got an assortment of dishes which we all shared, my grandmother's whitefish was also the best I've had!! flaky and perfectly seasoned. my mother's deep friend shrimp were huge and has the lightest batter that was so tasty!! even the vegetable medley served with each dish was great! my aunt and I had the steaks, her the sirloin me the 3 different topping top choice one with balsamic onions, garlic butter. blue cheese. omg talk about the best steak I've ever tasted!! and so tender. this place is a hidden gem!!

I rarely give 5 stars but will make an exception here. First of all, the place has that great Northwoods feel and look. Secondly, the service was very good Finally, the food was very good, portions were large , and the price was very competitive. Next time in the area to visit my son it will be a must stop !

The restaurant was in the middle of nowhere. It was nice and clean inside. Bar area had many people that seemed to be locals that knew each other, they were very friendly. The service was excellent. I had a Bloody Mary that had pickled asparagus and it was great. Steak was cooked perfectly, came with baked potato (cheese and onions on top of potato), side salad, and mixed vegetable medley ( tasted like frozen vegs, was not my favorite). But everything else was perfect. Husband had hamburger and French fries, the bread on the hamburger looked and tasted homemade. We would stop by again when our that way.
