love this place like stepping back in time! great food, love the fireplace, good people! we will be back for sure.
We enjoyed a wonderful prime rib "special" there last night, we should have asked the price, $51 a plate. The prime rib and scallops and shrimp were wonderful, but we're accustomed to getting some au jus and horseradish with our prime rib. None to be found. Next time we will ask the price of the "special". Along with three glasses of wine total, and a nice tip, it was $150 meal. The most we've spent on a meal for two in quite some time.
We stayed here for 2 nights, nice accommodations, however there is no air conditioning in the rooms, they do provide fans. We ate dinner here both nights and I have to say that the food was very good, reasonably priced but the service was very slow. We had the whitefish, chicken sandwich, nachos, soups and onion rings were all excellent, I would recommend them all. We will definitely stay and eat here again when we are in the area.
While my son & I were vacationing at Pine Bluff Resort, a local friend invited us to join him for dinner at Chamberlin's. Very nice setting on Manistique Lake. They had a local musician playing live, enjoyable music in an outdoor gazebo. I chose one of the specials, Blackened Whitefish, Red Skin Potatoes. My son had Whitefish baked on a plank & our friend had Chicken Alfredo Pasta. We also ordered a 3 piece side of Blue Gill, that we split. For dessert, 2 of us had their special Cheesecake & a tasty slice of cake. Absolutely delightful.... Our meals were cooked perfectly & tasted great. Our server Devon, was supreme in every way. She was very polite, professional & just a Sweetie! Next year, we are planning another vacation to the Curtis area & will definitely plan another dinner at Chamberlin's. Thank you Devon, for making our dining experience over the top!!
Went here for our anniversary dinner. It was our first time here. Atmosphere was good, service and food where great and prices were reasonable. They even gave us free cake for the occasion. Thank you all for a perfect night!
I'll start of with the good. Here on my birthday, October 19. Great band. I mean really good. In general, food is very good. Now the bad. My wife ordered one of their specialty meals which was a ground steak. When the entree came, the steak did not taste right. I tasted it as well. Tasted off like on the edge of going bad. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she asked if we wanted something else. My wife didn't. She comes back with the check and tells us that the manager took $8 off the $18 for the meal. I have never seen something so tacky. While from a pure economic perspective maybe the number made sense. But after eating thousands of meals in restaurants around the world with a complaint rate of maybe 1%, I have never seen a restaurant not deduct the entire meal, even for just the inconvenience. Unbelievably tacky. Not appreciated. Certainly not the servers fault. But really put a downer on my birthday dinner. Don't know that we will go back. For the prices this place charges, customer service needs to be much bettet.
We had a very delicious dinner here On a Sunday evening and we were surprised at how busy the restaurant was at the end of September. The whitefish both planked and Cajun was excellently prepared. The twice baked potato was very good. The vegetable of the day was corn on the cob and it was sweet and tender. Nice wine selections completed the dinner.
Great view to have a drink. Cool ambience. Courteous staff.. The classic item menu sorely lacks execution.. Chef "s" need a least a saucier course to make the minimums.
I saw where someone said to come here and eat breakfast on the porch. So glad we did. We were on our way through and stopped for breakfast. They don’t have a menu, you just get whatever they are making for their overnight guests. I’m glad they let the public come for breakfast as well. Had a wonderful breakfast sandwich while enjoying the beautiful weather and view of a lovely lake. Next time we hope to take time to stay overnight.
I love visiting Kelly and Bud and the staff. The cozy feel of their bar area is the feel of everyone knows your name. The dining is great and the food is the best so far in the UP. Right on Big Manistee Lake you can come by boat or drive just north outside of Curtis, MI. I love the variety of singers they have and in the winter the roaring fireplace.

Nice atmosphere, good food... walk into this Victorian Inn with a fire roaring in the fireplace and live music in the corner. The menu is reasonable and the food is good. A nice place to dine in the U.P.
Don’t miss this hidden gem in Curtis. We found it luckily just by googling places to stay. Awesome place!
