Best place for snack sticks .. there was a place I used to go to east of Lapeer .. but j deans blows them out of the water…the Taste that can’t be duplicated. ! I’ll be hopefully bringing a deer soon!

Great selection. They do a great job of processing deer. The cherry cheese venison sticks are awesome.

Charged me 400 and something for 50 lbs of deboned deer meat had some breakfast sausage summer sausage and hunter sticks and I gotta say the summer sausage is OK nothing to special but the breakfast sausage is horrible barley ground and mixed at all each pack has a different taste which none is good and some seem spoiled the stick ain't hardly mediocre at best and don't taste like the samples they let me try overall im extremely disappointed and will never return i wish I could get some money back or discount but they don't care enough to respect their customers even after giving such horrible quality products long story short im stuck with giving it to the dogs because everyone who's tried it is not impressed or willing to take it home I wouldn't even give them one star after how the customer service was I feel everything was rushed and done improper obviously cause of the taste and unbalanced mixing

Sweet little shop with super yummy snacks! Highly recommend trying the Jalapeño Venison sticks. Shout out to Dennis for the info and tips while shopping

Drove 30 minutes there at 11 o’clock on a Sunday and they weren’t open! Their hours on the Internet say 9 to 5 for Sunday they never answer the phone and their hours on the Internet are incorrect! Waste of my time and gas.

I forgot to leave a review during deer season, but J Deans processed my buck and it was amazing! jerky was great, all the cuts were great, the burger was amazing, and their sticks.... to die for! deff going there next season!!

Overall, I found the service to be friendly, and the portions of ground meat from processing are reasonable. The packaging is also well done. However, if there is a next time, I plan to request that my back straps and tenderloins be kept whole. I do have concerns though, as it seems like there might be some double-dipping happening. We didn’t receive the full portion from either deer, and based on our usual experience processing our own, we typically get more than just two packages of back straps per deer. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, as I’m not willing to pay for all the meat I expect back only to receive a smaller amount than what I should.

J Dean's is the best place around. My son and I love this place and will be a forever customer.

I've used this place for years.
I love the quality and the price. However, I won't be returning until they find a healthy alternative to these chemical dyes they are pumping into the venison sticks they make.

I never questioned it in the past but I noticed on the ingredients of one of their packaged products it said it included red 3 and red 9. I called them to verify that they were not turning my healthy venison that I bring them into cancerous poison by including these chemicals. Unfortunately they confirmed my worst fear and the casings themselves are covered in chemical dye. If they're going to continue to use these with no alternative they should at least let people know what they are consuming.

Dropped off 2 does this year. One was 20lbs or so heavier than the other, but strangely received the same amount from both which was the exact amount they needed to make the requested sausage…

Great selections of specialty meats! The staff was friendly and informative. I had some of the brats a few weeks ago and they were fantastic!Can't wait to try my new purchases!!

They don’t give you all of your meat back and sell it inside of their store.

I would update google. I literally planned my entire day around coming here for the last things I needed and GOGGLE literally says that this location accepts EBT not the farmers market pop up. Now I have to explain to a 5 year old how even though mom works really hard I can't get the green beans ( not even candy ) that he wanted because you're stores info wasn't accurate

The angus ground chuck is incredible. Best hamburger of my lifetime. We grilled burgers tonight after buying it at your Flint Farmer’s Market location. I have been searching for months and months. I didn’t wanna have to buy a quarter Steer at Richardson’s meats in Argentine. So by accident I found you on a U of M field trip. I actually forgot what hamburgers are supposed to taste like when they are real, pure, fresh, high quality and unprocessed, and I now know I have not had a real hamburger in years and years until now!! Thank you so much for this incredible freshly ground steak that brought me back to my childhood!
