We are all vegetarian and frequent many different Mediterranean restaurants. With that being said, feel free to take this review with a grain of salt. Perhaps our experience would have been better if we ate meat, but I would not recommend any other vegetarians to try this place, as it is absolutely average at best. We ordered the fattoush salad, hummus, fresh bread, falafel sandwiches, and a side of garlic. The garlic and dressing for fattoush came in a plastic packet, which I have never experienced at a Mediterranean restaurant.I tried Al Ameer before in Canton, but thought to give another shot to the one in Dearborn Heights. Both were disappointing. There are so many other and better options for Mediterranean restaurants, particularly for falafel. Portions are also comparatively smaller for the price. I'm sure others can relate that it's never a good feeling to have paid for a restaurant meal and be disappointed. Therefore, if you're on the fence, feel free to skip - especially if you are a vegetarian like me.

Great and always been great. Big thanks to Bilal. Awesome service. Thanks again
Extremely disappointed about their service and Iftar buffet!Over priced; they charge admin fee and 18% for 3 person. The server who serves tea was extremely rude/ aggressive and screamed after asking tea for second time in the buffet. The food was not so good. It was average quality food. The dessert selection was very poor; only watermelon and sahlab and jello for kids in a highly priced buffet.I am very disappointed to try this restaurant and strongly discourage everyone from going there.
Money hungry restaurant. Asked for reservations for two but they said they only accept reservations for 4 or more. They also asked me to walk in with no guarantee to get a seat for Iftar.

Great service and atmosphere. Authentic middle eastern dishes that curb your craving.
We came for the iftar buffet and we were extremely disappointed. The smell in the restaurant was very musty especially near the few protein options. Very small plates with very random mediocre dishes. They served 2 pasta dishes, hummos, fattoush, random sides and dry fried chicken and paper thin grilled chicken with gravy. We were charged $150 for a table of 3 somehow. Automatic 18% tip included when it was a self serving buffet. Didn’t even have dessert for $50 a person plus tip. You’re better off going to another Ramadan buffet. Left very hungry would rather fast a 2nd day in a row than go there again. Robbery during Ramadan haram
