I have been a loyal customer here for about three years and usually visit twice a week. Unfortunately, my last two experiences have completely changed my opinion of this business.
A few months ago, I placed a special cake order for my wife’s surprise party. I made it very clear that price was not an issue — I simply wanted the cake done the right way. Instead of feeling helped, I felt brushed off and poorly guided through the process. I chose to let it go and continued supporting the business.
Recently, I came back to place another cake order for my daughter’s birthday. I had already spoken to the owner by phone, but when I arrived in person I was treated with an attitude that was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I was even asked whether I had an appointment, which felt strange for a small neighborhood bakery. The way my request was handled made it seem like taking my order was a burden rather than their business.
I fully respect that a business owner has the right to accept or decline orders — but if that’s the case, the team should at least be trained to communicate clearly and treat customers with respect. Cakes are for special occasions, and when people trust you with those moments, customer service matters.

I bought the vanilla Christmas log for Christmas this cake has ton of sugar has no taste you’re biting on sugar that all the taste that it has I paid almost 50$ it went straight to garbage never going back to this place

Very disappointing experience. They display old desserts at the front counter while keeping the freshly made ones in the back. When we asked for fresh desserts and asked about the price, they raised the price on the spot. The freshly made desserts were almost double the price, which was never clearly communicated beforehand.On top of that, the staff’s attitude was disrespectful and unwelcoming, which made the experience even worse. The food wasn’t even worth the price. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and this place failed at both. Dearborn heights seriously needs better dessert shops with honest pricing and respectful staff. I won’t be returning.
