“Two nights ago , my wife and I dined at Al Shallal, a Lebanese family owned and operated restaurant. We were warmly greeted by hostess/server Nourhan and offered menus. My wife ordered an absolutely delicious falafel plate that was accompanied by a marvelous tahini sauce and rice. I chose the perfectly spiced and prepared mixed grill (beef kabob, chicken tawook and beef kafta served with a pungent garlic sauce and rice. Our order included, as a prelude, a choice of salad or soup. We opted for the homemade (all items we ordered were made from scratch) chicken lemon soup: shredded chicken, and rice in a deeply flavorful lemony chicken broth (yum). Our servings were generously portioned and absolutely scrumptious. Following the meal, we ordered homemade, once again, baklava and a small pot of a cardamom infused Lebanese coffee. Food heaven. Nourhan was an absolutely wonderful server (daughter of the owners who were the chefs). We have dined at many Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian restaurants. Al Shallal, in Dearborn Heights , Michigan ranks at the very top for quality, price, taste, presentation, authenticity and service. Thank you Nourhan and family.“

“Some friends and I decided to check this place out because of Chow Down Detroit (I just moved to the area and have been trying to find local gems) and let me tell you, the food was absolutely delicious and filling and the portions were amazing. Not only that but the people who work here are amazing. They were so patient with us while we asked questions and helpful and made sure we got to try all the best things. “I orderes through DoorDash and figured I'd give them a shot. I ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich, small tabouleh, and medium fries as they didnt have an option for small through DoorDash. I dont know if something got lost in translation or if its genuinely like this everytime, but the tabouleh and fries I got would be large or extra large at most other places. The tabouleh was the best ive had from outside the home. The fries are fantastic, and the chicken shawarma came LOADED.“

“My wife and I are from out of town and a friend recommended Beruit Gardens for dinner. I have to say that was the best recommendation ever! The Chicken Shawarma Sandwich was to die for and the garlic butter was the bomb!! My wife got the Shish Tawook and Fattoush salad. It was so delicious and the portion was perfect for sharing we had to take home leftovers. Not that leftovers are a problem. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant for your next cheat day or night out!!!“

“We've eaten here a few times recently and every time has been delicious! We have loved everything we've tried so far. The complimentary spicy garlic sauce with the bread is so good. The salad is so fresh and we love the dressing and pita chips in it. The hummus is great. The chicken schwarma sandwich is yummy and a great lunch deal. But we usually split the platter for 2 when we are both eating here because it lets you try multiple things and gives you way more food. we always have leftovers so we get to eat more of this amazing food later on. All the meat has been juicy and tender. We love the rice with the almonds in it. Everything is just delicious! Can't wait to come back. I want to try other things because they have so many things that sound good but we also love what we get already so it's so hard to switch it up! lol Might have to try something new next time though just to see what else we like. “This restaurant is consistently flooded with take-out orders all day and evening. We favor their Greek Salad and Deboned Chicken Platter. The food is as healthy and fresh as can be. We estimate that we have ordered from Alex Kabob around 50 times. Expect to wait 15-20 minutes to pick up because of the demand.“

“It was really nice today to go inside of Fadel Meat and Chicken Market aka “Tabliye Meat and Chicken Market” for the first time. I saw this place on my way to work many times and always wanted to try it and today was the day. Upon entering this beautiful establishment, I was greeted by Mr. Abbas who informed me that meat is for sale on Tuesdays. I did see, however, that they had kitchenware for sale, which is incredible because that is exactly what I needed. I ended up getting a great deal on some Styrofoam cups that I need for my vegetable garden. I plan on starting some seedlings in these Styrofoam cups, and then moving them into a larger container once the roots are developed. My day is a lot better because of this incredible market. I highly recommend this to anyone in the area in need of fresh Halal meat or disposable kitchenware. The store was very clean, well lit and friendly. The staff was informative, helpful, and made me feel at home.“

“I find all Arabic bakeries are similar so I go anywhere. Someone told me about this one and I can't stop going back. The gentleman that works there is so kind. The find is amazing. Much better than anywhere I've been. This is my only go to spot now for Arabic bakeries.“
