First what Chinese place dont give you Fortune cookie with your dinner ,right there alone i wont be back the noodles for the soup was stale... we drove over 30 mintues to come.get the food.. the egg rolls are half the.size they used to be..and on top of the we was missing a egg roll. Sad not worth the money.

I'm 43 years old and have been going to lums since I was 10. The almond chicken Dinner and the sweet & sour chicken dinner are my go to meals. I also get beef fried rice with both. Unlike many food spots these days, the prices here are very reasonable, especially with the amount of food you get in the dinners. Your take out boxes are always stapled shut on both sides! Huge portions of rice and the beef is always tender. The almond chicken is always crispy and cooked to perfection. I also appreciate the real egg rolls (not spring rolls like most places) They also have the sweet orange sauce for the almond chicken, which I prefer over the dark brown from most places. I also recommend the crab Rangoon, egg drop soup and just about everything on the menu. I have never had a bad meal or a complaint here after all these years. Gary, his wife and family are all very nice and genuine people. One last thing I wanted to add, Lums is carry out only. Support this South Heights / Downriver Staple.

If you're questioning whether to go to lums or not Don't, just go, nowhere else compares to their quality and quantity of food. Never been disappointed with the food here, customer service is great, service is extremely fast. No other resturant holds a candle to Lums.
