Unfortunately, the food was not great. I got the sweet-and-sour chicken combo and my mom got the orange chicken combo. I kid you not they used the same sauce for both meals 🤣
The breaded chicken had no flavor and was just a bit watery. The shrimp fried rice that we got with the combo also had no flavor. At least the shrimp was decently cooked. The egg roll wasn’t good. Nothing tasted fresh. It was just a big no for me 🥲

The almond chicken and shrimp fried rice is sooo delicious. I've been going here for years. The shrimp and chicken is good as well, i always get an extra egg roll because they are delicious.

Red Ruby used to be the go to. They used to have the best sesame chicken I ever tasted. It seems they have changed the chicken and sauce. It's not good at all anymore. Sadly, I no longer eat there. The food has gone downhill pretty bad.

I had an incredible experience here! The food was bursting with flavor, portions were generous, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. Definitely a spot worth visiting.

Called to complain about them changing the type of chicken and batter used for the sesame chicken. Guy I was talking to claimed they changed it 8 years ago, which is ABSOLUTELY FALSE!! Either way, I was in the middle of telling him it tasted horrible and not the same flavor with them using the chicken they use for sweet and sour then just throwing the sesame sauce on it and he HUNG UP ON ME!! DONE patronizing this place! Rude!
I used to love their sesame chicken, because it was different from other restaurants. Flat out done with this place!!

Went there for the first time 8 14 25 Picked my food up when home 8 a few hours later.I was sick at sitting on the worst Chinese food.I've ever had I would not recommend going there. The inside of the place had a bad smell. I definitely got food poisoning

I had not been to Red Ruby Chinese since 2012! It was decent Chinese food from what I remember so I decided to give it a another shot. Honestly, I don't consider Chinese food to be very flavorful but when you have a craving for something you get it. I had put in my order before I read all the recent 1-2 ⭐ negative reviews from other customers, most were repeated customers. After getting home and placing my food in storage containers and eating it a couple of hours later it was about what I remembered. I would definitely but it again.

Everything is horrible. Bland on all aspects. Almond chicken gravy is yellow water with a slurry to thicken. Egg foo young, zero flavor. Fried wonton, just that! Taste like the old oil it was fried in. Never in my life have I had to add salt to Chinese food. Never again!

Ordered the Chicken Lomaine. The food was delicious along with the shrimp fried rice and chicken egg rolls. Definitely recommend.

I was up at Red Ruby 05/09/2025. When im up here I usually get Sweet+Sour Chicken with Rice. I would say the food is good but not great as it used to be. Service was quick and I was in and out in maybe less than 10-15 mins. I do miss being able to sit down and relax. On a personal note a shout out to the Lee Family and some of the working staff members who worked for them which I went to grade school and high school with!!)

Bought sweet and sour pork which was terrible when I opened it up didn't know what the hell it was threw it away

I've never been to a Chinese place where the rice smells old and taste old what a waste of money please don't go there

Their food used to always be on point but lately it’s hit or miss. If you get any dish with fried chicken like almond chicken or sweet and sour chicken there is a good chance you will get old chicken they had been refried and it will be dry and not good.

Do not do it!!!! This is the nastiest Chinese food I’ve ever eaten in my life! Clearly my shrimp must have been caught and served immediately because I had to clean them myself. The crab Rangoon was just cream cheese no seasoning and no crab not even imitation. My sweet and sour sauce was the consistency of gelled pie filling. My fiancés meal was no better he literally ate 3 maybe 4 bites of what was supposed to be general tsos chicken and felt nauseous 35.00 later I am sad to say we paid to throw this shit away. If I could give less than zero stars I would.

This food is diabolical. The food is absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy nor a dog or a cat to eat it. The taste of the food was unrecognizable. I’ve never taste Chinese food taste so disgusting I called and spoke with the manager. They told me that I can get a refund. I brought the food back the next day. The lady refused to give me a refund told me there were no refund. I told her that I spoke with the manager and the manager told me I could get a refund. She then took my food to the back. Did something with it. I heard the man back they’re yelling and screaming to the top of his lungs. This inside of this restaurant is disgusting as well. It has a smell like something dead. I would just suggest no one eat there eat at your own risk. My daughter was sick behind it.
