We had the gyro meat platter and the chicken platter. It seemed like the meat and rice were in the warmer too long. Two platters and one bottle of coke $27. There are so many choices for Mediterranean food with in a mile of this place. Unless the improve they won't be open a year. Good luck ?

I'll give it 3 stars, because when the food actually makes it to me it's tasty and the portions are very filling. The problem seems to be this restaurant is unable to fulfill my Doordash orders quite often. DD never gives me any other issues except for this restaurant. The order should not be confirmed by the restaurant then delayed by over an hour just to get a notification they're unable to complete my order. Again, this issue doesn't happen at any other restaurant but this is the 3rd time since ordering from HG. If you can't complete the order, don't accept new orders.

I came here for the first time in a while and I even told the owner that when I arrived. I was the only person in there when I arrived and everything seemed fine. Except for them being cheap about the protein. I was then asked at the end if I would like jalapenos, peppers, and olives on top which normally they never charge for as far as I remember. I added what I wanted on and never thought anything of it. I go home and as I was eating the food, I checked how much I was charged since I was not given a receipt. I find out I was charged around $3-$4 extra, which is crazy considering I only ordered two chicken bowls that sell for $11.99 or so. I ended up paying almost $29 for two bowls here. I called ASAP and tried addressing the concern, the female worker who answered was kind and apologized that there's been a misunderstanding and that they now charge for jalapenos, green peppers, olives and so on. If I'm gonna pay $11.99 for a bowl, I definitely expect to get whatever veggies I want on it without being charged extra. And the issue is not so much being charged extra, it's the fact the owner was making my food and neglected to inform me that they were gonna charge extra for the only toppings they carry there. The food itself was good, it could use some more work with the chickens seasoning though. I most likely will not return based off the fact that the owner either forgot to mention that toppings cost extra or he neglected to mention it out of dishonesty. I even left my information with the female employee to maybe have the owner reach out on the matter and I guess they don't care about retaining customers....

My husband and his co workers tried this place the other day and loved it. So, we decided to give it a try today.I never want to give a bad review but, save your $. It was so gross. I ordered the chicken gyro. The chicken was so dry and looked like chopped up dog food. My question, is about the chicken. …. It appears to be dark meat. How in the world do you dry out dark chicken? That takes talent. ??‍♀️The “famous white sauce “ had no taste either. I looked at the ingredients and it’s just watery mayonnaise. The pita wasn’t warmed, nor was it fresh. They charge you extra for the sauce, which comes in a large salad dressing package. 80 cents? You need the mayonnaise sauce to try and rehydrate the chicken. I will never go back again. I wonder if the people who love this place actually have tastebuds? I had to wait until my husband left the room to cover it up and act like I ate it. I would have rather spent my money elsewhere. So many great establishments next door or across the street. Sorry.Yes! The “We are different” is very true. If that’s different, I don’t want it. ?

Finally made it out to this spot after all the hype of social media like fb, IG, YouTube and Twitter. Right off the bat, this food gave me sajj Mediterranean vibes from the West Coast, California. Now onto the food, menu is quite simple and basic. You have beef or chicken, wraps or bowls tummeric rice, assortment of veggies and soda drinks from a soda machine. This location is new and recently as of 2021. I didn't get a chance to make it out to their opening but getting my shot now. Ordered a beef n chicken combo with rice, pita bread, tomatoes, olives and their famous white rice. First thoughts after first bite, not bad but I didn't see the major hype. Keep in mind, I have a very calibrated taste to any Mediterranean food and my standards are high..so I call it how it is. Not to say the food was horrible but I didn't see the mega hype you hear online. Prices are on par for this type of food with Chipotle style of selection..fun fact, Chipotle is next door..lol The service was quick, they have indoor seating, take out and services like door dash plus plentiful parking. The place was very clean which is a big deal for me. Overall, as my first time I had a solid experience but slightly above average in the food department just not like wow'd

Food is excellent full of flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly one thing I cannot stand is under overcooked rice it was definitely done just right. The owner took a moment to explain to me what Halal meant which was educational and I thought was really cool. I highly recommend trying this place. I almost forgot about the white sauce it was delicious

Not a very big variety on the menu is why the 4 stars. Food was very good and the portions are on the bigger side which is rare nowadays. Staff was nice and fries were made to order. Dining area is small and sanitized by staff. I will eat here again.

Foods are delicious. I used to live in NYC so I know about the food taste but quantity should be improved to compare with NYC 6th ave store.Nice n friendly crew member.

Happy that we have our very own Halal Guys in the D but NYC 53rd&6th Cart is on a whole another level altogether. The Service at the Dearborn Location is decent but their chicken tastes more like Shawarma chicken with Garlicky flavor rather than the chicken you get in other Cities.
