I tipped 60% my bill they said they were serving till 10 even google says 10pm. Wouldnt serve me anymore. I literally matched my bills and the bartender made me off as racist intentionally

Just started going tecently. March 2023. Everything we have ordered has a fresh spin, real cheeses, freak breads, puts, beef, the macaroni n chicken is next level. Never disappointed yet, This place should be booming Bar service excellent. Table service doesn't understand c"service" Great atmosphere

I got recommended to take my date here to eat because I didn't really know anyplace in the holt/lansing area but the food here is superb and the service was top notch the atmosphere was good except when the karaoke started some of them people couldn't sing to save their lives but still had a great time.

The waitresses are lazy as hell. Ours never introduced herself the entire night. The food was mediocre. My wife ordered a cesar salad with grilled chicken and was brought a bowl of iceberg lettuce with what appeared to be rotisserie chicken. Just overall a poor experience.

Absolute worst dining experience in the Holt area. Went in with the fam Saturday night between 5-6pm for dinner. We had the worst service I have ever experienced and the food was garbage. Our waitress was either new to the gig or just didn't care. We had to ask repeatedly for things that should have been brought out with our dinners, for instance the beans, rice, salsa & sour cream that go with the tacos. Oh, and a plate for the small pizza my daughter ordered. Speaking of the pizza, my daughter didn't get it until well after the rest of us finished eating because apparently the cook "forgot he was cooking" and burnt it, so we had to wait for another one to be cooked. No apologies, no offer to take it off the bill.The tacos tasted like an entire packet of ortega seasoning was dumped into each one, my husband had to douse his philly cheese steak with A1 to give it flavor and the chicken fingers my youngest ordered were definitely over-cooked - which made it even worse that after asking 4 times for ranch, she never got it.Definitely will not be going back to this hole again.

The bartender was completely rude. She had a full bar of chairs with only 2 people sitting at the bar. Our table was short a tall chair so instead of just taking a chair we asked if we could take one. At first she said no and then blamed me for not giving the right amount of people for reservation for trivia which I did not make and whose to say THEY didn't get it right and then reluctantly let us carry one. With adding as e walked away next time get the right amount of people for your reservation. The bar never filled up all night. RUDE RUDE RUDE. Our waitress was very good though. Bartender needs to take class in how to be good in the customer service industry.

A favorite of ours when in town. Try the Dysfunctional burger, it is loaded with mac and cheese, bacon and fried onions. Amazing.
Frankly, we came here last Saturday because Buddie's looked to be sooooo crowded. We were surprised Charlie's wasn't busier as the food and drink was very good. Our salads were obviously NOT what my wife refers to as "bag salads' but had been assembled from fresh greens. Her Mac n cheese was huge and constructed of a delicious blend of cheeses. My Reuben was delicious. We also appreciated that tables were positioned throughout so there was a good deal of space separating us from neighboring diners. Several large screen TVs had college games going, but the sound was turned down low enough not to be intrusive. We'd last been at this locale when it was still Sammie's Paddock. Charlie's has cleaned up the dining room and brought a very reasonably priced selection of well prepared comfort foods. Try them out....they deserve a larger clientele.

I came here for food randomly with my wife, whom of which happens to be African American descent, and a waitress of Caucasian ethnic background called my wife a Nigg*r. Full blown. I asked for a manager and none came. Disappointing. Will be calling the better business bureau.

Since my last review I've spoken to the manager and was told why the pizza was so bad. Their oven was having problems and when it was discovered it was shut down and they were sorry and I'll be getting a replacement pizza when I go again. Was very impressed and glad as we've always enjoyed Charlie's!
