Is has been awhile since we (me & husband) have been there. Medical problems for me. BUT when we did go....the service and food was outstanding!! Their food....I think mostly handmade when they can is delicious. Going to call in and pickup breakfast. If you are still wondering if you should go.....GO!!! *GOOD SERVICE! *GOOD FOOD! *GOOD PEOPLE! ***This Robin Wallbaum and I approve this message.
I cannot say enough good things about this local, family-owned business! On very short notice—only two days—they went above and beyond to make my daughter’s special cake exactly how she wanted it. Not only was the timing tight, but her request was very specific, and they made it happen flawlessly. The cake was beautiful, delicious, and clearly made with care. It’s rare to find customer service like this, and we are so grateful for their kindness, flexibility, and talent. I highly recommend supporting this wonderful local business.
We came in July 5th at 10:00am and our order was placed at 10:20. I just ordered half Biscuit and gravy and 2 eggs and bacon and my wife ordered 2 eggs scrambled with sausage links and toast and an hour later we still didn’t have our food. But 3 other tables that came in 20 minutes after us got their food and they ordered omelets and pancakes and waffles! Finally out we got our food an hour and 15 minutes after we ordered it. Our waitress Amanda was amazing but the kitchen staff and service was horrible!!
Grove Street is an amazing family owned place that has been in Delton for years! Friendly staff, delicious food and a serving of small town appeal!
We planned on going there but didn't realize they closed at 2:00 So I cannot review the place yet
I wanna start this off I have tried this restaurant numerous time all though the owner's are great and the food is good my last few experiences here have been horrible. The last few Fridays I have been served by a bigger blonde girl, instead of bringing my food out she was flirting with another employee. I had asked for a refill many of times and she seemed to forget each time. The last time I went we could here her talking very loudly about her personal life and as parents who bring our kids to the restaurant we are absolutely disgusting for them to be hearing. We never try to judge people but we could barely handle the hearing the talking and the smell, we could barely eat our food.

Someone please take the time to train your serving staff properly. Absolutely waited to long to be waited on, they sat us at a dirty table. Finally took our order and waited over 30 minutes for for food to arrive. Watched the young lady clear table, never wiped it down and sat another couple. Everytime I come here I'm disappointed. Such a cute place too. It has to be management because it never changes. Do Better, Be Better

If you have 1/2 a day to wait for your food then this is the place you should go…. Super slow service and food is your typical breakfast food nothing special. Took over an hour for food to come out - it was breakfast so wasn’t complex. Missing items and food was lukewarm. There’s another breakfast place in town that’s much better go there.
Very nice, comfortable diner. Very fast, friendly service. Excellent, hearty food. Great pies! We are in the area for a short vacation and will definitely make a point of eating here more than once.

What can I say first of all I had the nicest waitress and I didn't catch her name, she had a beautiful stone necklace. I didn't look up Jan's place before I came out to Delton. I hadn't been back in 20 years. I used to live down the street from sajo's on Maple street. Ate at Jan's almost every other day. Banana cream pie and coconut cream pie and we're delicious. The waitress told me the whole story of what happened and I was very pleased that I found out what happened to the business because I specifically was saying to my husband this place is wonderful let's go eat here and I pulled in to this place thinking it was jams with another name and turns out it's Jan's pie recipes so unfortunately I didn't get a piece of pie but it warmed my heart that her recipes live on in this restaurant. Also I was going to get a hummingbird something or other I can't remember. And I was suggested something more to my liking that would be cheaper in price so i was very happy that the waitress tried to give me what I wanted that would be cheaper so that was great. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. The atmosphere is small town America with true American dishes. Simple but delicious. I didn't leave hungry and my husband who usually has to order two meals did not leave hungry. We were both satisfied.
We live in Massachusetts, I have to say that we were impressed. Good job!! And thank you for the service and great food. 5 stars

Food was cold! Got soup and it was like it was taken out of the fridge and was told they could microwave it. ?
Country fried steak has sausage gravy on it. Fries were over cooked and hard. No one came by to give us refills.
