Was really impressed by the quality of the food. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. The friendly and attentive service added to the warm, welcoming atmosphere, and we will certainly make a point to return!

We tried this place because a friend recommended their predecessor. We saw it was another restaurant now and decided to try it anyway. We were so glad we did!! The sandwiches were on delicious homemade bread - so much better than commercial. The coleslaw is a well-balanced mix between sweet and creamy and vinegar. The fish in the basket had a nice crisp and the homemade American potatoes were unusual and quite good with crispy edges and tender centers. The bacon in the club and grilled cheese was really crispy and portion sizes were good. The warm apple pie with ice cream was amazing with a light flaky crust and fresh fruit and a large serving for only $3.50. Everything was truly a good value. Service is friendly and attentive and the bathroom was clean, well-supplied and smelled nice. They also have baked goods for sale and we took home a loaf of cinnamon bread for later. Please forgive that we had already split the food in the pictures because we both wanted to try the club and the grilled cheese.

Parking: We had no trouble getting a close spot on the street on Saturday around 1:00.

I have eaten biscuits and gravy at dozens if not a couple hundred places. The search has been long and arduous. At times, defeating.

I have explored Diners and cafes from Manhattan to the UP down through Florida and everything in between.

There are moments and times that I wanted to give up. To settle for the mediocrity of a canned gravy with a too-smooth-to-be-roux texture, or a biscuit that was clearly subpar. It would have been easier.

My journey of a thousand biscuits ended here. Gallons of gravy consumed to arrive at this singular geometric point of Culinary wonder.

Now, I may rest, knowing that Dimondale is in firm possession of someone curating one of the two best biscuit and gravy plates East of the Mississippi.

The search over, the mission ended, the road had led to Morning Lory.
