If I could have gave them no stars I would have gave them no stars . This is the second time I've been to this big boy I did not want to go there again but I thought I'd give it another try. It was my biggest mistake. Whoever the cook is is terrible we ordered two Slim Jims and a side of onion rings. The waitress brought the big boy hamburger with the onion rings which were burnt already. I got my slim jim it wasn't put an presser to make it toasty they took it back remade the slim jim sandwiches and was supposed to remake the onion rings well the sandwiches were edible the onion rings all he did was dumped them back in the fryer and they were hard as a rock you couldn't even bite them. It was terrible. And all the wonderful company did for us was take the onion rings off the bill nothing else and the slim jim sandwiches weren't the best but they were edible barely. I will never go to this establishment again I often wondered the first time I was there why nobody was in there just like the second time well now I know why the first time was bad but the second time was 10 times worse. I ordered hot tea and it tasted Just Like Old tea bags the tea bags were not fresh at all.

My husband and I hadn’t been to Big Boy in ages, so we figured it was time to give it another go. The all-day breakfast really stands out around here because sometimes you just need pancakes and eggs for dinner, and not many places deliver on that craving. The food hit the spot. The cookies and cream pancakes tasted like deep fried Oreos in the best way, and the scramble dish was equally satisfying. This place has that comforting classic diner feel with simple, tasty food you could make at home, but it is so much nicer when someone else cooks and cleans. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was calm and cozy. We will be back 😊

My father & I really enjoyed our late, mid afternoon lunch today at Tawas Big Boy! Our waitress was Jazzman, who did a fine job! Dad enjoyed his liver & onions and his soup. I had a delicious waffle with chicken; the chicken was way overcooked with a tough outer batter. I should sent it back, but we had appts. Otherwise we enjoyed the food & service too.

Everything on buffet was cold.Coffee was hot but never got a refill after first cup due to server not coming around again. Won't be back due to food quality and lack of any of the servers attentiveness to any of the customers in the establishment!

We have been go here for years but this last time was absolutely horrible, we came Halloween night it has been a family tradition and kids eat free but they decided not to do that this year. Then the waiter was a young man who never refilled our drinks or checked in, I had to ask another sever to do so! We were the only ones there at the time so they weren’t busy….. now I know why, the bathroom stall door is broken in the woman’s bathroom as well! $50 dollars later and very very disappointing. I wouldn’t waste our time there again

Going down hill! Always flies 🪰 everywhere. Order the salad it never came. Eggs were not cooked, turkey was burnt. ask them to exchange biscuits for toast and they told me they had to charge me more.

We went a couple weeks ago on our way up to our cabin. We normally stop this location a couple times a year because the big boy and the area we live closed. I used to love their spaghetti but the last few times I have gotten it they hardly put any sauce on it. I have to ask for extra which I’m charged for when I went up a couple weeks ago I got the big boy burger and the sauce did not taste right and the burgers were overcooked. My mom and aunt got the Slim Jim and my mom‘s cheese on her slim Jim was burnt so bad that she thought it was bacon the waitress took it back and then brought it back out and said that was just burnt cheese. I had him clean it up, so needless to say was very disappointed with how the quality is going downhill. There was a fly flying around us the whole time we were trying to eat also.
I had the Classic Big Boy sandwich and it reminded me of the way they used to make it back in the day, it was perfect!
Other Big Boy restaurants downstate seem to chince with the tiny patties and overload on the sauce. But this place had the bigger traditional patties with the tender crisp toasted bun and just the right amount of sauce.
You don't see that a lot anymore these days

Having 1 waitress was a very long wait, plus we was over looked a couple times to order food, then took another 30 minutes for it to come out. Kids menu needs to be revised, ordered spaghetti and it comes with fries? No restaurant I know does this! Should have came with at least bread and butter something other than fries! Our waitress that we finally got did her job and did come ask if everything was going ok so that's a plus.

My meat lovers omelet was awesome. I wasn't given butter or syrup for my hot cakes though. My wife's burger was over cooked and dry. Got a strawberry milkshake since they have a huge sign bragging about them, but it was a let down.
Waitress was very busy but still checked on us enough to make sure we were taken care of.
