My meat lovers omelet was awesome. I wasn't given butter or syrup for my hot cakes though. My wife's burger was over cooked and dry. Got a strawberry milkshake since they have a huge sign bragging about them, but it was a let down.
Waitress was very busy but still checked on us enough to make sure we were taken care of.
This is a place that I would avoid. The service, and food indicates that it is struggling. My wife and I stopped there on a Saturday night and the place was half full with half of those at the salad bar. We had to wait 15 minutes for our order to be taken, and then another 25 minutes to get our food. The food is substandard with undercooked fries, iceberg lettuce for the Caesar salad with half the chicken. The Philly beef was burnt meat with Velveeta in a bun more made for hot dogs. The manager at checkout asked me how the meal was. She blamed it on the server who had to deal with too many tables, an awful kitchen, and an owner who is doing it on the cheap. It wasn't her fault.
Food was great, hot, service was friendly and awesome
It's casual .
Short staffed on cooks = burnt food :(
We stopped in approximately an hour before they closed. The triple decker turkey club was huge and tasted great! The onion rings were great! My wifes spaghetti was a nice portion and , great sauce
and tasted great! My familiy ordered chile and chicken and salads. The salad bar was a bit disappointing and chicken abit overcooked or old frying grease. Lettuce was browning, soups were about gone and salad bar variety was limited. The staff was fantastic with the grandkids and celebrating ones birthday. My wife loved her bloody mary drink that she had also! I loved Big boy food as a kid and I still do! I would recommend misting your lettuce with lemon juice mix occasiinally to help keep it looking fresh. We recommend this restaurant for family eating!!
I got the soup and salad bar. The soup was ok and the bar needed filling back up. The salad dishes was dried out.. pudding had an old film on it as well as the salads dished. Some of the veggies was old also. I asked for it to be replenished and the request was ignored. Will not be going there ever again. Will post if I get food poisoning
My bad for going on mothers day, so I will change my review when I go again. It was packed! Slow service (about 25min for first contact). Ended up doing the buffet and wasn't impressed so next time I'll get a burger and see if I can find all the hype.
The only thing we ever get here is the salad bar it is just okay but because they have closed the other big boys down state this is occasionally useful for a cup of soup and a mediocre salad bar
I ordered biscuits with my breakfast that I couldn't even cut. And my daughter ordered a hoagie with no pickles (she is allergic to pickles) and mashed potatoes. You could actually see where they took the pickles off the top of one side and her potatoes were mostly dry lumps of potato flakes. But the waitresses were great!

We had lunch at Big Boys yesterday. The service was quick, and the server was very friendly and efficient. We had not been to a Big Boy in years, and the atmosphere was fun and nostalgic.
Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarian options available.

It was nostalgic. The food choices were decent. Breakfast served all day. Large parking lot. Good for RV or trailers.
