Unimpressed. Was super excited to check this place out since the location is beautiful but was left disappointed. Restaurant was chaos upon arrival, table was covered in ketchup amongst other things, there was no sign of any servers whatsoever amongst the chaos so my husband attempted to order at the bar (to no avail, as it was packed) during which a server finally came up to me and asked if we’d been served. I said no and we ordered with her. Margarita was the worst I’ve ever had, which was to be expected at a beach bar. I understand they’re too busy to be mixing actual drinks back there, but this thing tasted completely of sour mix and sour mix only. Ordered the shrimp basket and upon delivery our server informed us that they were out of cocktail sauce….. which would have been nice to know prior to getting the food as I likely would have changed my order. They were also out of salt? Ordered a second drink to make up for the terrible first one only for the server to come back again to tell me they were out of that draft beer and only had one left on tap. The server was friendly and kind, the only redeeming quality here. I’m not blaming her for any of this whatsoever. Establishment seems very poorly managed overall, so much wasted potential.

You know how a place is such a good idea and you have amazing memories of going there so you keep going back even though the service is worse and worse every time you go? That’s Bikini’s. Gorgeous view, amazing music, not enough staff. Go, but order a bucket from the bar so you have a few rounds on hand. Tip well, it’s not the servers’ fault this place is poorly managed. Remember it’s the only bar on the beach, keep your cool and go with the flow. But eat before you go or the hanger will build while you wait to order and be served and you’re going to take it out on someone who doesn’t deserve it. Ask me how I know. Anyway, I’ll be back, because like an old boyfriend who doesn’t give me the attention I crave, I can’t quit Bikini’s.

The location is beautiful. When coming back and learning of the horrid stories of what happened to the staff… and how the owners tried fighting customers the first holiday weekend… made the choice easy not to come back. Seen a few familiar faces that was nice but all around the drinks are horrible now… the food used to take forever to come out but tasted ok… now it’s both. Unpleasant experience and it’s easy to see why other places such as barnies and now the bowling alley are reigning supreme. A real shame of what once was a favorite place to visit.

Been coming here for years while visiting our summer vacation home. Loved coming here for the views and atmosphere. While that hasn’t changed, the quality of the food and service has gone down drastically. Our server was trying her best but was the only server for the entire bar on a holiday weekend. There were 4-5 other employees with “staff” labeled on their shirts, but walking around aimlessly. They would occasionally pick up an empty glass but did absolutely nothing to ease the workload of the one server actually waiting on tables. Because of this, service was slow. The bartenders also couldn’t keep up, seemed like more socializing then mixing drinks for the server. Drinks took 15-20 minutes to come out, waited with empty glasses trying to order the next round and incorrect food was brought out. The food prices have also gone up quite a bit. It's a shame because this has been a staple of our trips here and we will unfortunately be picking a different spot to spend our evenings. I will commend our server because she was giving her absolute best to keep up with everything.

I am A regular here my parents brought us here yearly as kids even when it was holiday Inn my gparents lived on the lake MY mom passed and all of us kids books a lake side room 💔 next morning we had a pontoon rented my moms wishes were to play to songs and everyone say something We got up at hotel and the cook informed us the waitress didn't show up the manager I'm assuming said sorry I guess no breakfast today. I'm diabetic I was unable to attend boat ride and memorial we were on a time schedule and the cook kept saying she's on her way until she blunty said well no breakfast today. as much money as we all spend there I believe bikinis owe me 1night stay in open view room I have written them 3x no response

I was there this past Sat night as it was the place chosen for my best friends surprise engagement, on the beach. I had the unfortunate experience of an extremely rude bartender and her rude comment was the only time me and the bride to be were acknowledged after waiting patiently for over 15 mins at the bar. She helped people she knew and others around me. I was in line with others who were complaining service was poor. And a girl came up behind me asked has I been waiting because she couldn’t get service at the end of the bar either. So, me and my friend split up to stand in two different spots at the bar, the girl behind me get served and over the loud bar I said to the bartender “we’ve been waiting” and do I get an apology or “how can help you?” No, the rude bartender in the blue and white pinstripe shirt, that looked like a tent, says “don’t yell at me” are you kidding me? This place was a joke. I was trying to order for 10 of us!! So, after the wait and then the rudeness all 10 of us went on with the proposal plans and went elsewhere to celebrate and spend our money! Don’t worry, we are all leaving our reviews on IG, Facebook, snap chat, twitter, and tik tok!! Not to mention we’ve made sure to share this story with everyone we’ve run into that also regularly visits tawas. We won’t ever come to this bar ever again!
I believe this place used to be a small tiki hut behind the holiday inn sometime in 80's or 90's they built a more permanent foundation and of course expanded it ... after it closes u can enjoy songs around a fire on the beach meet ppl from all over the place and share stories ... my grandmother introduced me to this area over 40 yrs
Come for the atmosphere and maybe the drinks, but don't come for the food! The food falls on the bland side of good and a tad over priced, and kitchen closes early. Live music was good. Website doesn't show menu or list of (2023) live entertainment, so that could use an update also.Visited twice during our stay and was unimpressed with the service both times. When I gotta wait 15+ minutes for a refill I'm just going to cash out and go elsewhere!

Great spot for drinks on the beach Service was good and so were the drinks!Food... not so much. The waffle fries are really food. The fish tacos were bland, fish was kinda mushy and slaw nearly invisible. The chicken sandwich was a frozen breast warmed up and slapped on a tasteless, white bun with one piece of iceberg lettuce and a slice of an unripe tomato. Coconut shrimp were cooked well, but had a weird "chemical" smell to them.So, go for the location, drinks, and waffle fries. If you want a good meal, go elsewhere.

I can't rate the food because I never got any. We sat down at an empty table and two servers walked by us a total of 5 times. Made eye contact but never came over. I even waved at the one she looked away. I had a bad experience the last time I was there. We came by boat so decided to try it again and got what we got I'm afraid. After a day on the water a beer and some food sounded great. And that's what we had but not at this place! Afte 20 minutes we got up and left.
