I wouldn’t even give this store one star. My 14 year old sister workED there, the owners are VERY VERY rude and disrespectful! After my sister was counting change back to a customer and Frank smacked it out of her hand, she then quit. After she quit the owners went around telling the staff that she had gotten fired for “stealing”, which was not at all true. Her boss laid her hands on her and she then quit. If you are looking to work here for the summer I DO NOT recommend! Spend your time and money elsewhere!

My boyfriend and I stopped in today while on our way to the Benjamin Franklin store since we didn't have our infant for a few hours. Upon entering it's s super cute store, overpriced but cute. As we we're walking around a older woman with short hair, approached us and asked if we needed any help. We told her no and that we had just moved to the area and we just wanted to look around.. after the conversation the woman followed us throughout the store making my partner and I extremely uncomfortable and making it pretty clear she was watching us, blocking areas and "fixing the shelves" but really was just hovering. Even if I wanted to buy something the way this woman treated my partner and I we decided we won't go to spend a dime and won't recommend the shop.

The store itself is fun with many great products. But our shopping experience was definitely soured because of the way the owners treated us. We will never go back. The owners, especially the gentleman, continually hounded all of us, over and over again. He made us feel very uncomfortable. I have read many other reviews stating the same thing. You’d think they would get a clue and change their tactics.

I have been in the store twice while visiting the area. Both times I was followed around by an older man who worked there who would not leave me alone to browse. He kept trying to turn my attention to specific items in the store. He followed me nonstop and hovered and kept trying to draw me into conversation. I just wanted to browse! I also wanted a cappuccino. I asked if I could have one with coffee instead of espresso. I was told no. I asked if I could just have a cup of coffee with steamed milk. I was told no. They have some cute merchandise, but not cute enough to get me back into the store. If the older gentleman could be removed, I would go back. My sister lives in the community. I told her what happened and she said she never shops there anymore because of the man always following her around. She feels harassed just like I did.

This is the second bad experience I've had here. First time the husband was very pushy and smothering. We went there looking for a certain wine we had gotten there previously. This time a woman asked if she could help, I showed her the wine and she very shortly said "I don't have that". I asked if it was out of stock or just not carried anymore and she went on a tirade about how many types of wine exist and she can't stock them all or know what she had. My mother and I put the items we had intended to purchase down and left. We will not return.
This is a great store with friendly clerks. Lots of made in Michigan items. I start my Christmas shopping early here every summer.

Really fun place. I could spend hours here shopping. The Candy shop brought back lots of memories of my younger days. Lots of stuff to see here almost too much to mention ?You should definitely stop and see all this place has to offer. Lots of soaps and candles knives etc. Brew krew coffee has a very nice selection

This shop is done getting my money!! Every time I go here I spend well over $100, even though I can buy the same things somewhere else for less money. I like to support local, as I am a small business owner myself. But I'm done! Every time I get treated like a child, followed around, and comments are made that just make me feel uncomfortable! I keep thinking I will give them another chance, but I will take my business else where.
