Fast service and plentiful chips + salsa were the highlights of the meal. Quesadilla was greasy...CA burrito was soggy fries and chicken slop in a tortilla. Maybe we ordered the wrong things. Other diners' food looked much nicer. Disappointing. The waiter never checked back until it was time to pay the bill. So we paid, tipped 15%, and stopped for ice cream elsewhere. Not the worst meal but I wouldn't return either.

Got here early before it was busy. I was extra hungry so the food tasted doubly good. Nice day of hiking and a good meal- I got the fiesta sampler and highly recommend it. The flautas were excelente!

Not impressed this time with our visit. So much masa in my tamales, where is the meat..literally an inch thick, no good. My crazy tacos, not impressed either..dried up old fajita steak meat looks and tastes like jerky. My dogs had a good meal tho. Not busy so you don't make fresh food??

7/4/23 There was no food in the lake house so Zach drove us to East Tawas for lunch. It took us a while to find parking because Tawas was hosting the July 4th parade and the streets were crowded and many roads were blocked. When we were able to find parking, we walked to the main downtown area and decided to get lunch at Mangos Mexican Cuisine. Zach had mentioned he had eaten here before, but I was happy to oblige to eat anywhere at that point because I was so hungry. Inside the restaurant, it was nice and cool and there was no wait. As soon as we sat down, our waiter brought over two tall glasses of ice water, chips and salsa. The chips were study and didn't fall apart when dipping and the salsa had a nice kick to it. Here's what we ordered: - Burrito supreme with chicken (mine) - Enchiladas verdes with chicken The plates came out in 10 minutes. For my dish, there was more sour cream than I would have liked, but the food was good overall and Zach cleaned his entire plate. The service was fast and efficient.
