Kinda expensive, but my perch was wonderful! Love the view!
Was good but didnt open up this year 19
Very good food and a nice variety of choices. Cocktail are available. Price are a bit higher, but worth every penny.
They were closed Very disappointed because we have a had their sautéed perch that was delicious. Not sure if this is permanent . We stopped around 5 PM and it looks like they have been closed for a while.
The ONLY place I eat Alfredo! The best!
A sign on the door says the restaurant is closed for the 2019 season due to a severe leg injury. Remains to be seen if it will ever open again. Regardless, the quality of food has steadily declined over the years.
The food is always good here. I've never left disappointed in 20 years.
Great service and good food.
Best perch in northeast mi.
We both tried sauteed walleye and wine sauce served with broccoli and a side salad ,the meal was great. It makes me sad to think they are closing in 8 days for the rest of the year.

My family and I used to enjoy this restaurant 20-25 years ago. Now it is a dirty, run down business. Filthy bathrooms, dirty floors, dirty windows, broken and dirty tables and chairs on deck. I can’t help but wonder what the kitchen looks like. Stay away.
We were unfamiliar with East Tawas and we wanted fresh perch. Read the earlier reviews, including the rundown condition of building. A good friend had recommended ‘best perch dinner’ at ‘a’ restaurant across from Walmart. It was Pier 23. We didn’t think the outside was bad...it’s an up north place. Inside was quant and clean. Beautiful views of Lake. We walked in close to closing on a Sunday night and the service was friendly...never felt rushed. Perch was excellent and on Sundays you get a 10% discount.
As many times as we passed this restaurant, we were never tempted to go in because the outside looked so sad and dilapidated. However, after checking their menu and the recent reviews, we decided to give the restaurant a try, and we are very glad that we did. There were 3 in our party and we all got the sautéed Walleye, which was excellent. We were glad we chose the Cole slaw when we learned that the salad was just iceberg lettuce out of a bag. One of us also ordered the broccoli instead of potatoes or rice. It was fresh and steamed to perfection. We will definitely be back to this restaurant for the food, the service and the views.
Excellent meal white fish ala pier 23 was a great choice. We also had a steak hoagie that exceeded expectations.
We had never been to Tawas before so when we found this great little restaurant we were really pleased. The fish dishes we had for dinner were delicious and reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
