We went here on my bday, and there was a little problem, not going to say the problem it's not necessary, but what is necessary is the response from the owner about the problem, She was AMAZING, OVER AND ABOVE and she went BEYOND. The waitresses TOP NOTCH. The food was delicious also!! Great service, I will recommend to all. The place is so cute too, they had a big piece of paper and crayons on the table to doodle, color etc. Even if you're not a kid, my husband had a good time coloring while waiting for our food which took very little time to get to us. Great place all around.

A hidden gem by the lake. It started out a little rocky as they were super busy and clearly overwhelmed. Lobby full of people waiting to be seated and it took a long time for them to get out together enough to seat us. The servers were clearly stressed but handled it as well as could be expected. It server did a good job. Once we ordered and got our food we were glad to be there. Food was top notch and 4 of us walked away happy and full. You definitely need to stop by and give it a try!

Our waitress, Diane, made the experience even better with her warm and friendly service. She surprised our son with a complimentary key lime pie, handmade by her! It was a delightful touch that truly showed the hospitality of Route 23.
Overall, this place is a hidden gem in MI that you don’t want to miss. Great food, excellent service, and a cozy vibe make it a fantastic spot for BBQ lovers!

We picked this place due to the plant based menu posted here. The waitress was new. She checked with someone in the kitchen, said their menu changes often, and they have no plant based menu any longer. I asked if they had a veggie wrap, they no longer had that available either.
