went here for the first time. question were asked about sides due to dietary concerns. response was Kurt and not helpful. waitress wasn't friendly. food was ok. Honestly for the price I've had better. I think it's geared towards seasonal people over locals.

I just have to say if you're in the mood for an outstanding Smashburger, this place is it! And, of course, all of their barbecue is top-notch. Everything on this menu is awesome!

My wife and I had "The Melt" sandwich at lunch and I have to say it has the best sandwich we've ever had!! Brisket with Gruyere and pimento cheese on sourdough, fantastic.

Always terrific BBQ delicious specials. Wife had a special Smash Burger, which she loved, & I had a Ruben on rye that was outstanding. We also never forget to order the Jalapeño Poppers!

My partner and I hit up Route 23 BBQ after catching wind of their team-up with Vegan Farmacy, and let me tell you, we were psyched to find a new spot for vegan eats.I've always been rooting for Matthew. After I ditched meat from my diet, I kinda felt guilty for not popping by his joint. But now, I'm all in for supporting his awesome local venture. The vegan mac and cheese? Legit good, especially for being on the less processed side. I mixed in some vegan coleslaw with it, and man, what a game-changer.We're definitely planning to drag our friends and family here since it's got a little something for everyone. Super excited about having more local plant-based options around – can't wait to check out what they whip up next!

Vegetarian Review:I stopped by hoping to sample the new vegan BBQ options but they had not started that yet. I was pleased to learn that there have a vegetarian sandwich available which is not on the menu. It has corn, spinach, avocado, onions, and more on a soft/tasty brioche bun with a vegan BBQ sauce. (The normal sauce is made with chicken stock so be sure to get the vegan sauce). The sandwich was phenomenal. I was really surprised at how good it was and I will be going back for that sandwich. It is so good I might not even try the vegan BBQ that they plan on adding to their offerings. They have house made chips which were good.I have driven by many times thinking the restaurant was closed , but do yourself a favor and stop in. They are open and we want to keep it that way.You will not be a disappointed vegetarian/vegan diner when stopping for food here.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available but not listed on menu.

We just moved about a half hour west of oscoda a little under a year ago. We're still trying new places, and we decided to try this place today for Valentine's Day! I drive by this about once a week, and every time I mention to my husband that I really want to try it, and boy, I was not disappointed! I got some kind of brisket melt that came grilled, with grilled onions, 2 types of cheese, and house chips. I added a side of fries. My daughters got the kids' meals, BBQ pulled pork sliders with fries and mac and cheese with fries. Everything was nothing short of amazing. Our waitress was Jennifer, and she was such a sweetheart. They have sweet tea, ice tea, half and half, and faygo. Their decor was so cute, a very homey feel. They also have a changing table in the bathroom for infants. (Weird and random, but since I recently just had my son, im noticing so many places dont have them). We will certainly be back! Thank you so much for dinner ? ?Kid-friendliness: Ask about the kids menu, it's not actually on their menu!

4p.m/8p.m Tuesday - saturday. This place is a must! Just visiting?... or here for good, this place might not be? With a friendly lolcaly owned, and personally cooked by the boss himself! This BBQ is NOT sauce slatherd on meat like most places. You taste the well cooked meat, with that smokey flavor everyone loves. With the amount of sauce he uses, there is room for all those flavors to come out together and sets your taste buds willing you to eat more. I only checked what food I have eaten. I will be going back and getting more from this delicious menu and updating my thoughts on this guy's BBQ. Dont take my word for it, stop in and treat yourself to the real barbecue king.Parking: Great spacing and good amount of parking. 25/30 parking spots, and also a dog run for anyone who has dogs.Kid-friendliness: Wonderful environment, and food every child can get used to, if they don't love it already!
