TAWAS BAY FUDGE & ICE CREAM COMPANY

Always a MUST go-to when I am in downtown Tawas. Location is right on Newman where everything is. They have a back door for service if you have your dog with you. So kind of them to have that option.

Their cake batter ice cream is VERY yummy, can’t get it anywhere else.

Our scooper was Joel and he was friendly and helpful!

If you’re in the Tawas area, this place should be a must for your ice cream cravings!!!

Best ice cream in town. All of the servers are super friendly and remember us and our favorites year after year. The fudge is always fresh and delicious. One of my favorite things is the "wall of fame" featuring pictures of people enjoying their ice cream over the years. Small town values with a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Came here for the first time with my family. Service started off decent, but took a turn when we overheard the staff talking disrespectfully about us, after hearing myself and my cousin speak another language. The staff member said “f this I’m not helping them”. Completely uncalled for. It’s 2024, let’s be open to other people who speak different languages other than English. Do better.

Very rude employee, didn’t want to serve us because we were speaking another language to each other, even went as far as using profanity. Shame on you and shame on such behavior.

I just came here and we bought ice cream and they refuses to give me a cup of water. I didn't have the money on me to buy a heir bottle water. Just wanted some tap and they straight turned me down..

Lemon fudge was delicious, cuts like butter creamy and delicious. Peanut butter fudge was awful. Should have been served with a hammer and chisel instead a flimsy plastic knife. It was obviously old and had been sitting out and dried out. It’s very telling when a fudge shop won’t let you sample the fudge. The owner crumbled the fudge with his bare hands in front of us when we went back for a refund saying that’s how fudge should be. Thankfully they did refund us for the nasty peanut butter fudge.

Every year we make our spring order for fudge and have it shipped. Excellant. And they always throw in a little treat for us each year. Then we enjoy more in the fall on our tawas camping trip.

Can't say enough wonderful about this place. Their lemon fudge is unique and devine. Their ice cream is awesome. Especially praline caramel pecan and Sis got the Michigan PotHole...mainly diff forms of chocolate. Does not disappoint.

Great ice cream

August 2023 - came here with th family. My daughters wanted some ice cream. They loved watching the employee make the fudge. Ice cream was very good, from what my children mentioned. Cookies and cream, cherry and something with peanut butter is what my daughters had. Worth visiting if you are near and then you can window shop as you enjoy your treat.

Fast service, big scoops. No fault of the business, my girl and I both had a slight headache after eating the hand dipped ice cream...

A favorite spot to stop and get some freshly made fudge. Can sometimes watch them making it as well. The Lemon fudge is quite good as long as you enjoy lemon-flavored sweets. Fair prices for the amount and quality.
