I have been here twice. By far the best sushi around. The food is always fresh and great. The young girl that works periodically provides great customer service wished she worked every day.

This is another lesson of not judging a book by it's cover. From the outside it doesn't look like much but once you open the door it's a very nice place to dine in or carry out. The service was friendly and the food was wonderful. I put this in the hidden gem category.

I literally love this place, I go at least 1x a month and never miss out on the Eastpointe roll. Fast, friendly service and great options. When I order I always want more the next day! (Tj)

Sushi Zone has friendly service and an unpretentious vibe, but the experience doesn’t quite meet the mark. The seating is mostly private and comfortable, though one lone table in the middle feels oddly placed.
The miso soup was flavorful, but the calamari tasted frozen and the sushi taste/cut/flavor was disappointing—soggy sashimi served in a soy sauce tray with grocery-store-level flavor. Warning: I think some of the glowing reviews may be manufactured, as the food quality and technique were substandard.
Nice people, good service, but overall below-average food quality and presentation.

Alright I never leave reviews. And honestly, I almost sadistically gave this place a one star rating just so I could keep this place to myself. However, the man (who I believe may be the owner) rolling sushi is incredible, creative, and a master of his craft. I mean I had a roll with kiwi on it (cool breeze roll) and I’ve never seen that anywhere. It’s perhaps my favorite roll I’ve had there so far. Service was courteous and attentive. The young man who served us was so sweet and professional. The rolls did not take long. I would say like 20min and that’s on a Friday night while Doordashers are just swarming in. I was impressed! I would have easily waited 30-40min for how decadent these rolls were. Price? I aint ballin but I think it’s affordable and modest. Like $12-14 for specialty rolls. For two people we spent ~55 bucks. You need to eat here and give this place your business. It is the treasure of Eastpointe and it needs to stay put. Anybody who hates on this place is crazy, hard to please or possibly both.
