What an absolutely unexpected delight!!! I love diners with home-cooked food. I'm so blessed to have stumbled on this gem. I enjoyed the best egg salad on rye sandwich with ham and bean soup I've had since childhood then brought home an assortment of baked goods for my children that made them very happy. The Front Porch Café in Ellsworth is an absolute gem. It’s a pay-what-you-can nonprofit, but don’t let that fool you—this place delivers food and service better than most sit-down restaurants we’ve ever been to.
