I am a loyal customer of this place. Today I invited my neighbors to have lunch with me. Food was good but one of waitresses was mean and yelled at me when I was looking for a waitress to refill water.

Food was not at all flavorful. We mentioned to make food spicy they didn’t even care about it, as it was not at all spicy. And the spring-rolls were greasy and taste really bad.

Ordered take out. Asked for won ton soup and they messed it up. Went back and asked for it again but there were no wontons in my soup. There was cabbage and carrots. Traditional won ton soup carries bokchoy scallions and a couple of the wonton dumplings yet there were none. And when I called back to ask they said they gave me the proper soup when in fact they gave me hot and sour soup. Will not be returning.

First time here, and it was a really good experience. The traditional regional dishes are delicious and more so the service was great. Our server explained things well and was helpful in taking questions. The flavors are great, I highly recommend the wood ear appetizer and the shredded pork, and the whole fish in black bean sauce if you like spicy food. Will return to try the dry pot dishes.

This place is utterly disgusting. I ordered a carry out of Egg Drop soup, Spring Roll, and Almond Chicken. The soup had no taste. The spring roll was so greasy the napkin I put it on was saturated with grease. The chicken was so overcooked it was hard as a rock. I ended up throwing the whole thing out. This place was disgusting.

Very authentic Hunan and Shangdong style food! I am from Hunan and the way they cook chicken gizzards is just the way my hometown cooks!

Was just "okay"... Too much breading on chicken...What I don't like is being lied to when serving my food. They are passing off quinoa as fried rice!! There's a small amount of rice but the majority is quinoa!!! What if someone has an allergy??? They are setting themselves up for a devastating lawsuit!!! Won't be back...

This place is HORRIBLE.. Spent $80 on take out food.. for the ONLY THING TO BE GOOD WAS THE FORTUNE COOKIES!! I LITERALLY COULDNT EAT BECAUSE IT SMELLED LIKE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.. the beef lomein was HORRENDOUS. The rice was old and hard. The chicken ALL had an old taste. The wonton soup also horrendous. Horrible experience.. & I believe the woman KNEW she was serving old food based on her body language and no eye contact.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

The food was average, the service was slow, and the prices were higher than "neighborhood" Chinese restaurants. They definitely use less salt than neighborhood restaurants. That's a GOOD thing. The food simply wasn't impressive. (My first experience was vegetable egg foo yung. My second was sweet and sour chicken.) I honestly believe they are trying to build an ambiance infused dine-in experience that neighborhood restaurants don't want. Therefore, the slow service was not a criticism if they are taking their time to prepare, season, and cook the food as ordered, instead breaking open some prepped packaged food and throwing it in a pan. There was something more impressive than neighborhood restaurants, though. They call themselves Americanized Chinese food. I like that they aren't trying to fake some kind of authentic Chinese cuisine experience. The other thing, which made me try them twice, was that I saw mostly Asian people dining in and getting carry out. I do NOT trust cultural cuisine restaurants where people of that culture don't dine there. So, is it worth a try? Definitely. Not impressive isn't bad if "Americanized Chinese" food isn't your favorite cuisine. Besides, I believe most people choose the neighborhood Chinese food because it's cheap, fast, and has large portions.

With a mandatory 20% gratuity (computed on top of taxes), the food was terrible and gave me food poisoning. The roast fish was made without any salt and the stirred fried vegetables tasted like condensed ocean. The chicken with chilli pepper smelled and tasted like someone mistook vanilla extract for soy sauce.

The food here used to be acceptable but now the quality has dropped significantly. I urge you to look elsewhere for Chinese food. Nevertheless, my biggest complaint is with the shady business practices and the extremely rude staff. We received the bill with the restaurant already including a purported 20% tip. We asked nicely if they can please remove this and hand us a new bill, as it was our intention to tip in cash; moreover, the included tip on the original bill was miscalculated as it determined the tip amount from the sum of the food cost and the tax. We were told by the staff, in a manner that was attempting to be intimidating, that our request could not be accommodated, as their computer system automatically adds the tip and they are incapable of producing a proper bill. Not wanting to cause a scene in their restaurant, we begrudgingly handed over our credit card to the staff. After processing payment, they, incredibly, handed us a receipt with a final amount that was 25 cents higher than previously quoted as they, without consent, increased the tip. We find this ridiculous and hence will be disputing the bill with our credit card company. One more thing I would like to mention is how this establishment handles their pricing of hot tea. Two people in our party of eight ordered tea. We received exactly one pot of tea with a single tea bag and along with it eight tea cups and were charged on the final bill for eight units of tea - even though we only had ever received a single low quality tea bag and hot water. During the aforementioned payment disagreement the staff also refused to fix this blatant overcharging. We previously held this restaurant in high regard and even recommended it to our friends, but now those days are over. The decline in food quality, staff friendliness, ethical businesses standards means we will take our business elsewhere.
