Kola Restaurant & Ultra Lounge

Came in the other day to get some food and was charged on my card by a man at the door. I was just getting some food in carry out boxes. Was not a good experience and I cannot recommend this place after having been charged for essentially nothing.
I would appreciate a refund

I went pretty late just to have a drink to clear my mind the music was very nice. it wasn't too crowded I didn't have to wait 4 table because I sat at the bar. I'm unable to comment on the food because I didn't have any,

My first time here for an event. The venue/restaurant was absolutely PACKED. Despite this, the wait staff did an absolutely AMAZING job taking and filling orders. I was very impressed also with their customer service: polite, mannerable, and helpful. And the food was DELICIOUS! I ordered chicken wings and jerk chicken mini wings---omgggg, so gooood, no lie! If you haven't, you gotta check out Kola! I will be going back 😋

Best fried wings in Michigan. Plus they're huge. Perfectly seasoned and cook to perfection.
It's hustle and ballroom on Saturdays. Perfect vibe. Excellent music to get up and dance to plus they teach.

TERRIBLE PLACE AND EXPERIENCE!
I went to this place for the first time with a friend. We sat and chatted for about an hour, even though the environment was quite noisy. After paying our bill and getting ready to leave, a man at the door suddenly asked us to pay an extra $40. We were shocked and confused ,he said it was for a concert that was supposedly will start that night.
There was nothing during our stay. We explained that we hadn’t attended any concert and it did not start at all. We told him we were simply there to talk, but he didn’t care and insisted we pay.
WHAT A SHAM!

It felt like pure ROBBERY , not a legitimate business. This kind of behavior reminded me of the worst kind of greed in Africa , exploiting customers instead of respecting them. He totally forgot that he is in US. I’m grateful we got out safely, but I’ll never go back! So DISGUSTING!

First I would like to start of with; worst African food I have ever I looked at and tasted! As an African I am extremely disappointed! The kids meal was TRASH, chicken was hard and rice tasted cheap! The stews just looked like they weren’t made with love! I spent $72 dollars and most of the food went to the trash! It genuinely didn’t taste like African food! The lounge was dope tho! The people were kind but food was TRASH 4/10

I had the most awesome experience with the bartender Love! She was sweet professional and makes a BOMB LEMON DROP!! I will for sure be back especially on her days !! Thank you Kola for a great time 💖💖💖💖💖
