Very good and the service was good and fast. Good was good I ordered the meat lovers skillet without eggs as I don't like them and it was so good, the toast was good as well. The only thing that would be better would be if mimosas could be served but looking at the clientele that was there looks like there is no need for it

Went here with a friend and there was no wait. We got there at around 10:30am on Sunday morning and right after we got there, there started to be a wait, so we got there at a great time. The service was very good, super nice and caring staff. The tables are a little close together and made it challenging to exit when we were done eating. I ordered a simple meal, potatoes, over medium eggs, sausage links and pancakes. It was pretty good, my eggs were more over easy than over medium and the pancakes had a strange flavor to them, like cinnamon. They had a donut taste to them. It wasn’t that they weren’t good, but I didn’t care for the flavor. My friend got the eggs Benedict and she said it was wonderful.

Recipes has always been good and very consistent. It's another staple on the local restaurant list. For a very good breakfast, come here. Weekends do get busy.

Came across this gem by accident after leaving church & wanting to eat brunch. I’m so glad we found it! It was crazy busy but got seated within 10 mins. Our waitress was Ava and she was such a delight! Even tho she had multiple tables she always had a smile on her face and was very polite! I had the avocado toast (very good) & hubby had the farmers breakfast, also very good. Will definitely be back again!

Wanted to try something new last weekend and was in the area and thankfully had about 2 hours left till close so brunch it was! We were quickly greeted and sat. Our server was friendly and attentive. We took a bit to decide as they have a pretty unique menu. Lots of choices of Benedict's, omelettes, skillets, wraps and more. I was surprised and happy to see many salmon breakfast options and some Vietnamese dishes as well. I got the steak Benedict which I loved. The garlic bread English muffin is my new favorite. I just wish it had more hollandaise but I'm just a saucey girl, also didn't care enough to ask. They serve Great Lake coffee and it's absolutely delicious. I do appreciate a good cup of diner coffee but this was smooth as I drink mine black. We stopped back in the following weekend for Saturday breakfast and same thing quickly greeted and sat. This time I got the chicken and waffle Benedict special. It was good, different having a chicken patty but they did list it as such. The waffle was good I just wish I would've been chicken and waffles no Benedict only because certain parts of the waffle had burst of cinnamon sugar which was good but mixed with yolk and hollandaise it was a bit weird. But again all and all really good! I like the service here, everyone is friendly and moves quickly to get you what you need. Quite a few tables and our food came quickly both times.

Rating purely as a breakfast joint, Recipes has a fairly diverse menu that covers most of the bases when you think of breakfast to include eggs to order combo's, skillets, omellets, pancakes, French toast, Eggs Benedict and the list goes on and on. For my first meal here I had their two egg farmers choice breakfast that included two eggs cooked to order, choice of meat, house potatoes and toast at a very reasonable cost of $8.50. Food was well made, not too oily, and was very tasty. Aside from the food I ordered coffee as well where this was definately a good cup of Joe where the wait staff was on top of the refills. Nice! The restaurant itself has a very comfortable and inviting feel to it with a nice casual atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and on top of their game with prompt ordering, great follow up throughout the meal, and most importantly quick on the coffee refills. Prices are very reasonable versus competition which is a big plus, Overall one of the better breakfast joints in the area and if you are an early riser like I am they open at 7am which is a huge plus in my book as so few restaurants do this anymore in this area. Definately a place to check out for breakfast the next time you are in the area.

I placed a carry out order which came to 36.00 I specifically asked the staff was everything correct I was assured everything was correct left a 5.00 tip get home order was missing several items I called the restaurant back and the owner offered to give me 3 off my next meal and my 5 dollar tip back and proceeded to go back and forth with me regarding the order instead of a suggesting a better solution the items that was missing were important items to complete the meal. So I will not patronize this location ever again due to the lack of professionalism. I wasn’t asking for a free meal but definitely more than 3 dollars off my next meal.

Today i placed a carry out order which I paid about 36.00 left 5. 00 tip i was assured everything was correct get home noticed several items was missing items that was important to complete the meal I called the restaurant spoke with the owner he offered to give me a 3.00 credit and my tip back for my inconvenience and proceeded to go back and fourth with me regarding the service instead of offering a reasonable solution. 3 dollars credit on a 36.00 order plus 5 tip isn't worth my time.

We had the apple stuffed French toast and I had a traditional breakfast with sausage and fried eggs and potatoes. They were both excellent.

Hands down one of the best brunch spots we have been to in Michigan! Large portions and everything tasted really well. Quite a robust menu so definitely coming back! The Lox Benedict and omelette were on point. The croissant french toast was definitely the highlight of the meal and had us licking our plates!Cons:Blueberry biscuits were quite tarty and a bit dry. I would recommend they serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.Didn’t care much for the coffees. We got a cappuccino and americano.
